That's the problem with Smitty. When he's healthy, he's as good as there is out there. The problem is that he can't recover the way he used to and that's just science. He's got a lot of games played. Great player but you can't count on him being there for an entire season. If the opportunity is there to take one of the top LTs, I'd do it for sure.

Watch out for Walker Little or Dillon Radunz at 44. Both are plug and play starters. This draft is deep at oline.

I'm not falling for it. Besides, we still need to get Tyron's replacement in place and start grooming him.
Smart teams do this all the time, and grooming is the proper term.
Draft a potential replacement, if your current starting LT still has time left, then plug that guy your grooming into a guard spot and potential upside possibly he can make that transition when the time is right.
The problem is that teams with still starting LTs that are still penciled in as the starter but trending downward is very hard to replace.
Immediate upgrades are drafted very high, and there are usually only one or two if your lucky to just plug in.
Developing a LT is probably the hardest goal to achieve other than developing a QB.

If Tyron and Collins are healthy, just resign Dalton and draft a QB.

I couldn't have said it better.

Draft defense. Dak's staying.
Nope, take a QB with top pick. Use rest of the draft on defense. Use the $$$$$$$$$$$$ that was going to be spent of Greedy Boy Daky Prescott and fix the O-Line.

He will play at least 14 games this upcoming season. Cowboys should still draft an OT especially if Sewell or Slater is there.
hope your right, but unless you have a time machine, we better plan on not having him for long.

So the plan is to spend 3 firsts and half a decade finding a QB before being competitive again? That is what the math says you do if you go this route.

Dak isn't leading anyone to the promise land, just not in him.

Tyron at 80% is still the teams best LT
Tyron at even 50% is the LT in the division.

Part of the irony of people complaining about Tyron is that are 3 division opponents had it worst the last couple of years.. Nate Solder whose one of the most overpaid players in all of professional sports + choose to sit out all of last year, Trent Williams literally refused to play (claimed malpractice yet after he found out about the unproper diagnostics he still wanted a contract extension ) and then Dillard who screams first round bust gets injured and the backup refuses to fill in uless he gets more money. Back then later gets hurt...... (lol)
