Draft a potential replacement, if your current starting LT still has time left, then plug that guy your grooming into a guard spot and potential upside possibly he can make that transition when the time is right.
The problem is that teams with still starting LTs that are still penciled in as the starter but trending downward is very hard to replace.
Immediate upgrades are drafted very high, and there are usually only one or two if your lucky to just plug in.
Developing a LT is probably the hardest goal to achieve other than developing a QB.
