If Dak hits open market this year, does anyone think he would get 40m+ per year?

We were 1 game out of the division. Dalton beat as many good teams as dak typically does. And he did it without the stout OL dak normally has.
LOL. Dalton...really. the guy who shiet his pants against WFT, AZ and Ravens, when the game got decided in the first quarter, with ZERO chance of coming back.

I do give him credit for winning 3 games against three 4 win teams (one of them a 2 win team at the time) against their back up QBs and needing 9 turnovers to do it....and losing to a 5 win team with their starting QB....so I just wrote an email to the NFL offices asking them to make sure Dalton plays against 4 win teams all year so we have a chance to win and somebody to make sure they knock out their starting QB the week before...

btw, in case you forgot Dak had pretty much the same OL, so lying and making up stuff doesn't work, there are too many places on the internet with such facts for you to try and pull a fast one

I guess if you are going to lose, then lose big, by several scores. why even be competitive. just get blown out and remain blown out for the entire game!!! great plan

now go suck your wounds...Dak is signed and here for the next 6 years. I hear WFT is looking for some new fans, you should give it a try.

Dak never had a healthy oline last year. Lael Collins didn't play a snap.

Really.. never huh. The only one missing was collins. Tyron played, looney was playing, williams, martin. Poor dak decimated line...make more excuses for him. Dalton had 1-2 of those guys at a time and finished with only williams as the veteran starter.

He's here for 4 years. The last 2 are automatically void. Dumbest contract they've ever signed. Can't trade him can only cut him but can't do that they will already be eating contract 2 years after the 4 year deal is up. Stupid if your trying to win.

top 10 QB. the one main player that was keeping the offense going, we saw the season unfold when he isn't there. as soon as he was injured, the competitiveness was sucked out of the team and we became bottom feeders...

the easiest path to a championship game is through the QB. you don't have one. you will have 10x harder time to win....

welcome to the NFL......all QBs get over paid.

Close all threads related to Dak not getting his money...it's over. The "Crane Kick" has been administered....Match-Winner...it's over. Time to move on.

They were fine till knight and steel both had to start. Just cause some teams over pay doesn't mean I have to agree or like it. So when they struggle to win 8 games don't complain and remember, you wanted this.

I did want this. I will not complain. he keeps us competitive. the rest just have to do their job and defense can't give up 36+ points per game to average and good teams. they can't give up 200,200, 200, 300, 300 yard rushing games.

Exactly. It’s more about our Defense than Offense. Our DC has his work cut out for him this year. OC can breath easier with Dak in there and at least starting off with a fresh O-Line.

its actually a market value contract. in 2 years he will probably have the 7th or 8th largest contract as it happens in the NFL all the time..... and it gives dallas some flexibility in manuvering the cap as expected for the cap to take a huge leap in 2 years.....

and its the smartest thing to do for winning. you need a franchise type QB to win. it gives the best odds. any other way is much much much more costly.....going with Dalton and then having to first find and then sign three or 4 high priced defensive FAs to compenstate for offensive drop...and you will end up over paying by 7,8, 10M per year over all and you still won't have the dominant defense necessary to over come Dalton type of QB play

lol. Dak HAS to play OL, WR TE, RB, DL, LB, CB, S, special teams for wins against good teams. Just as Aikman did during his SB run. Like that excuse?

He better score 40. We're not getting much defensive help so be happy they only give up 200 yards rushing.

I don't care what other teams do. This whole in 2-3 years thing is stupid. In 3 years you gotta extend him or he walks with very little compensation after 4 years. What a waste. If they don't win, and I doubt they will it will be seen as a flop even by those who want this deal now. Stupid deal that didn't have to be done.
