Truth! Its ok to some degree but to do it on the level of which we do is dumb.At some point you need to go for it and spend some money to fix an area of the team.

we do. even spags agrees..and broaddus. THEY NEED TO SPEND IT
best sports franchise in the world and we are scraping the bottom of the barrel for players , run like a thrift store.
I won't stop cause it's a part of roster building. Get over yourself. And stop acting like we didn't need Safeties all around, they WILL sign a starter and hopefully it's Hooker. And if they happen to sign another guy that's better than Thompson on the way than so be itdepth is wonderful, but at SOME point you need to find starters!!! Stop it with the depth stuff. Our issue isnt depth..its our starters. They stink on D.
This guy is a complete knucklehead..constantly in trouble..either w the law or violating team rules..
Hey, its America's team. Lets hope we don't have a fraudulent draft lolbest sports franchise in the world and we are scraping the bottom of the barrel for players , run like a thrift store.
only if you fix the problem does this method work.I won't stop cause it's a part of roster building. Get over yourself. yes we are fairly smart here. Back ups never seemed to be our issue since thats all we have on the roster. Why add more bodies when you still have failed to fix a glaring need? We been doing this dumpster diving for about 6 years now and what has it gotten us? TIME to change philosophy. Just because its "on sale" doesn't mean its better. Sometimes you get what you pay for.Another bunch of head scratching replies in this thread
you guys do realize that every team has backups and special teams players, right?
and many of you, consistently, complain about the teams interest in a backup by comparing them to guys who got paid 20-15 million per.
This is exactly what I was talking about.yes we are fairly smart here. Back ups never seemed to be our issue since thats all we have on the roster. no..we understand u must build like this, TO A POINT..but at what point do you place a high priority on top talent instead of throwing darts blindly at a dart board and HOPING? Its insulting frankly, to the intelligence of those fans on this board watching this clown show unfold the same each offseason. Hope we do find lightning in a bottle on one of these FA signings, but does that sound like a sound way to build your foundation of the team? Its common sense man. This is exactly what I was talking about.
The team needs depth. Every team does. Look no further than our o-line last year.
If posters want to complain about the lack of high dollar free agents, fine. Those opinions have a place in one of the several threads about the Cowboys overall free agent philosophy that are on the first page right now.
However, dog-piling every player the team talks to that isn’t an A-tier free agent is the opposite of “fairly smart”. It shows a fundamental lack of understanding how rosters are built.
How dare we not accept mediocrity and like it. Jerry keeps sellin the same ole crap sandwich..This is why we been 8-8 and below that so often. Standards have flown the coop. This is exactly what I was talking about.

in comes the ray of sunshine to brighten up the thread.None of you yahoos are GMs or scouts or NFL coaches so you don’t know squat about these players one way or the other. How about seeing how he does in training camp before you start crapping on them? Make sense?
