Also, he wasn’t held accountable at all for their scandals, and even somewhat rewarded with a $450m debt waiver that he won’t have to pay back until 2028. Without that waiver, he couldn’t afford to buy out the minority owners or, he’d have to take out an astronomical loan and put up god knows what for collateral (likely the franchise).
