Serious question to answer ........will the changes on defense be enough? We've added three new players, ( four if you include Gregory). Are they truly upgrades are replacements. In other words, how much of an upgrade is Neal over Joe Thomas at LBer or Kazee over Woods for a team the finished dead last. The bottom line, it appears the FO is saying last year's defensive issues were more Nolan/scheme than talent.

If they can get an upgrade at 1T I’ll take that. I think we could be league average with that unit. Hill/Gallimore as your DT starters is scary though. Those two should probably be in a rotation with each other and have a true 1T come in.

These are the questions in my mind but they have at least given themselves a chance to be better, now it is about health, execution and the draft.

How much better will Quinn's D be over Nolan's D?
Will Dak be healthy the whole year?
Can the starting OT's stay healthy and does Nsekhe's availability (Erving was not available for a big part of the season) help?
Does Martin stay healthy?
Does Jarwin stay healthy?
Does Lamb take another step?

Is Lawrence healthy the whole year?
Is Gregory focused in a contract year?
Does Bashman give your more then Aldon did last year?
Does Gallimore take the next step?
Does Hill stay healthy and take the next step?
Does Urban give you more than Crawford?
Does Neal help the run defense?
Does Kazee give you more then the trash we rolled out last year?

This is before the draft (sample draft change how you like)

Can Surtain/Horn play like a CB1 next year?
Does a FS like Grant come in and give you quality reps?
Does a DT like McNeill come in and give you quality reps?

I don’t think it’s the players that are garbage. I think it’s the scheme and what we ask from them. Let’s hope that’s what she changed.

Schemes change. Coaches change. Same result.
Same players freelancing, ankle tackling, and blowing assignments.

Nolan even commented, when thrown under the bus, that these players can’t even run high school plays.

When does one look at the garbage overpaid players? The front office keeps signing hot garbage to huge contracts and the front office and the fans keep making excuses.

Yup.

we all saw the Nolan train wreck happening...from the day he was hired.

honestly, they let KRichard walk so big Mike could hire his buddy to run the defense.

smart.

hoping Quinn can bring some of that #LegionOfBoom magic back to us.

- DT looks weak to me still. But at this point, it is what it is. Hopefully they have a chance to draft one before the middle rounds. I'd love to add McNeill or someone like that.

- I hope they really give Wilson a chance at S. I am under no delusions that he's a stud or anything but he showed enough to give him a fair chance, especially considering we didn't really bring in a legit stud S in FA.

- I think the Cowboys are going to find themselves in a bind at 10. With Farley being hurt, I could see Surtain going in the Top 10 and the Cowboys being left with choosing an OL or a WR (I think Pitts might go early too). Cowboys may have to take only a fair trade down offer or get creative (LOL, yeah I know) like take one of the WRs at 10 and flipping Gallup for a 2nd and 3rd rounder or something like that.

That’s because they play like individuals and not a team. I still think it’s the scheme which starts with coaching . All the teams take our players and they play well above the level they played here

I think you need 2 defensive starters out of this draft.

You have enough draft ammo to move up from 44 and ensure you get that 2nd starter.

Tell me we have added Moehrig or Richie Grant as the starting FS and I feel much better about that defense.

The idea of using yet another first round pick on an OL nauseates me. How in the world can all these good teams build OLs without throwing the draft resources we do at OL?

Between an OT like Slater at 10 and a trade down.............100 out of 100 times, trade down.
