this is where they should be ranked until they prove other wise. the cowboys are just not a very well run team and the coaching lacks a lot also and talent is not as good as the gm and his star son think it is

Dallas is difficult to rank that way.

They arent any good but the argument could be made that they are the best team in the worst division in the history of the league, so it shouldn't take much to get a home playoff game.

50/50 they win that, and either way have Jerry bragging about the improvement, and this time next year the talking heads have us in the Super Bowl.

Then the players buy into how great they are and turn in a garbage season.

Anyone seen that movie?

Removing the rose colored glasses and beer goggles.....That's about right. Around a .500 team level. Nothing special at this point. And that was being generous after last season. BUT THE BEST IN THE EAST BABY...!!! I don't know about that yet.

Although I disagree with BSPN it's a fair assessment. I'm confident we'll end up much higher by the last ranking.

Too many times. My biggest complaint about Jerry. He always acts around the players like the team is coming off back to back to back Super Bowls.

-------If the OL and Dak are healthy, there should be no reason why we can't win the division.

Lets go ahead and get that banner prepared right now!!!

Where we should be.

We've been trash the past 2 seasons and have done next to nothing to improve on that this year.

Dak is not a Mahomes/Rodgers type of QB that can win games when everything doesn't go right. If Zeke isn't playing big and the defense isn't playing lights out we aren't going to even be competitive. Until proven otherwise, Dak is just not that guy.

I said it once and I'll keep saying it. We lost 3 games in 2019 where our defense held our opponents to 17 points or less and we lost all 3 of those games. Dak threw for a grand total of ZERO TDS in those loses. We also lost to the Jets in that saem season. Another game where Dak threw for ZERO TDS. We went 8-8 that year. Dak's play was the difference in 8-8 and 12-4 in 2019. You'll not convince me otherwise.

Yawn...

This obviously is not taking our Free Agency haul into consideration.

Good! We haven't handled praise or even marginal success in a couple decades. These guys always eat the cheese.

But at the top of the East, just as I predicted and received pushback from many of you. Many who I might add, no will add, I loved up until then. I will be accepting your apologies and welcoming you back into the fold because I am not too big a man to accept the fact that you were wrong. After all, these power rankings are never wrong.

If division winners didn't make the playoffs, they'd have to drop them to take the top 13 to get the Cowboys in.
Stop deep thinking..its off season damn it.

Too many times. My biggest complaint about Jerry. He always acts around the players like the team is coming off back to back to back Super Bowls.
But as an owner he is going to sell his product and rightfully so.

He has such a voice that it ends up being positive reinforcement for bad play.

Thats the conflict he refuses to acknowledge by taking on the GM role also.

There have been some high quality teams and players come through here in the last "25 years," but they always seem to lack a certain edge when it counts most.

The chain of command is way out of whack in Dallas, and that never ends well.

Thats MY biggest issue with the man.

I certainly expect a bounce back season... If the OL and Dak are healthy, there should be no reason why we can't win the division.

It should be seen as a failure if they fail to do so.
I agree about the OL. It's being rebuilt is the biggest off season need we have. It helps as the defense by TOP and scoring. We lost that completely last year and It will not be eat to fix. I would be in favor of drafting OL at #10 if the right player was there. I do not trust Collins nor Smith nor Badass playing all season together.
