How is this 30 yrs? Moved up for Rocket and got a great piece on that D line rotation
I didnt like the pick actually and thought he never came close to living up to expectations.
Solid player but certainly not the sorta guy you covet at #1.
I don’t know. I can see this point but he was only here through 95, made 1 Pro Bowl, was a great run stopper and was productive. He wasn’t flashy but he had a nice career here and in the NFL. He was a stud out of college so I don’t begrudge us taking him. He was just not what people think of disruptive DTs now but he was good. Not a bust by any means.
Jimmy was great when there was no salary cap and he was on the winning side of one of the worst trades in NFL history. Didn't work out so well with the Dolphins....Excellent draft -- 1991.
Alvin Harper.
Dixon Edwards.
Godfrey Myles.
Erik Williams.
Leon Lett.
Larry Brown.
Jimmy as the GM knew how to build a championship team in four drafts (89-92).
Meanwhile for the last 27 years, Jerry still has no idea how to build a team.
He did make them a better team but he underestimated who's team it was. In Dallas, it was his team, not Booger's and not Aikman's. It was the Marino Dolphins and even Shula struggled a but with that.Jimmy was great when there was no salary cap and he was on the winning side of one of the worst trades in NFL history. Yes there was no salary cap back then but there was also no real free agency either...so what's your point.Jimmy was great when there was no salary cap and he was on the winning side of one of the worst trades in NFL history. Didn't work out so well with the Dolphins....
