Thanks for SLee's play when healthy. Made the right decision. It was time, and glad he made his decision before the draft.

Thanks and goodbye. I am sorry Jerry made you one of his risk draft picks that either ends up unavailable (injured) or unreliable (suspended) with a premium second round pick. One legged Linebackers do not work in the NFL.

I wanted Carlos Dunlap. Only 1 pick away.

Well, look at the bright side. The Cowboys have a one legged QB...it evens out, I guess.

With Sean Lee and Tyrone Crawford retiring - the longest tenured Cowboys players on defense are now DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory.
Can these two step up and be the leaders to turn around this unit?
New DC Dan Quinn will have to be just as impactful with inspiring player leadership along with Xs and Os.

Now the question is does he become a coach....?

What qualifications does he bring other than "leadership"?
That is what is wrong with our FO and our fan base. We think with our heart and not our brains.

Whadda ya know -- seems like he's been about 100 years and he finally decided to retire?! Guess the old body finally gave out, huh?!
Well, it's about time! Thanks for all those good plays! Sorry you couldn't have lasted another century. Congrats, anyhow, Sean!

Link to his injury history.

Torn ACLs in both knees.

many hamstring injuries and concussions.

He gave up his body for the team.

I would retire on this bunch of ungrateful fans too.

The problem with Sean was he could give up his body just fluffing up a pillow.

A talented, intelligent and highly committed, mentally tough defensive player but not physically durable enough for the rigors of pro football.

One last classy move to finish off his playing career by revealing this before the draft. I was hoping he'd give it another year but I don't blame him. He got the Romo treatment from our idiot fans and all he did was love the game, play his heart out at a high level every single play, and stay loyal to the Cowboys throughout his entire career. No biggie.

Well, if he can't get in as a player, I think he will as a coach. He's got the brain to be a great coach. I'd be happy if he is able to work his way to become HC here. He'd be a no nonsense coach I'd imagine. The team respected him as a captain, and I'd imagine he'll go down as a brilliant coach too. Remind me as I'm 28, but wasn't Tom Landry a LB?

Landry was a db. And punter some as well...

Could have been easy HOF talent if he could stay healthy. Dude was a beast at his peak. Damn body let him down.

Good luck hopefully coaching is in your future
