He was better at guard, but still just a serviceable starter.

His play in Miami was inconsistent, but his remaining future in the NFL is at guard. Lord was he bad at tackle

I would say this locks Sewell in at 6

Maybe.

Flowers was their LG with Austin Jackson(2020 1st) being their LT.

This move IMO was to cut the dead weight and move Kindley(2020 RG) back to his nature spot at LG and move Hunt(2020 RT) to guard.

So, this could be making a need at RT, which IMO is Slater, but could they possibly see Slater above Sewell?

Or will they try to fill RT later with Radunz, the ND guy or Brown?

Seriously, Flowers is a fricking bum!!!!!!!!!!! He came into the league with high expectations and has done nothing but get beat like a drum when he's on a football field....ha-haaaa! Just another reason to get really excited about playing the WFT.

He was pretty good at LG while in Washington:

"Per Pro Football Focus, Flowers played 588 snaps in pass protection. With just four plays resulting in a hit on the quarterback form the left guard position, Flowers is in rarefied air. Just one other guard, who had more than 500 pass blocking snaps, allowed fewer QB hits than Flowers (Dallas' four-time All-Pro Zack Martin)."
