He was pretty good at LG while in Washington:

"Per Pro Football Focus, Flowers played 588 snaps in pass protection. With just four plays resulting in a hit on the quarterback form the left guard position, Flowers is in rarefied air. Just one other guard, who had more than 500 pass blocking snaps, allowed fewer QB hits than Flowers (Dallas' four-time All-Pro Zack Martin)."
Yeah, I’m sure he’s probably pretty much like Zack Martin.

Seriously, he’s a decent OG. He’s a trainwreck at tackle but I’m sure the Skins will use him inside.

Man for such a good coach he really moves around a lot.
It’s actually pretty funny because the reason he leaves is the same every time lol. He’s in this weird space where he’s so good at what he does (run game coordination) that FO’s and players buy into him being more when he’s really just a coordinator.

It usually manifests itself in two ways. 1) The franchise he’s on hits a rough patch and its HC is fired so he gets promoted. This usually ends up in him being let go by the next staff as they bring their own guys in. 2) The franchise he’s on is doing well and his run game coordination plays a significant role. In this case either he’s offered a better opportunity or allowed more freedom which it seems he relishes.

So in conclusion he’s such a good coordinator that he gets opportunities to move up or to move to greener pastures often. But he’s not quite a HC, so he’s kind of stuck in coaching purgatory in regards to his position.

Good to see Ereck "The Saloon Door" Flowers back in the NFC Least.
Albeit at guard, not left tackle.
