Honestly this is good for him. HE balls out this year and he gets paid. I'd be excited to not have a team use my option but they most always do if you're playing well.

The gambler in me would still re-sign him....in hope he gets back to form because his rookie season is one of the best you're ever going to see from a linebacker.

Good. Can't make plays or help the team on the sideline. Too much for the risk. I like the guy but neck issues don't get better at linebacker.

It's sad indeed. But, like you said, not surprising. Especially with us drafting Parsons and Cox.

Best thing for the team is for LVE to stay healthy and return to '18 form. Could easily find the money by cutting Smith after this season. I think we could find plenty of work for LVE, Parsons, and Cox for the next few years. That would be a big, fast LB crew.
