Greeny today was talking (well its what he does) and I swear he must have been reading my posts. He was saying how he doesnt want to hear about the talent the Packers have put around Rodgers. He said that QBs like Rodgers have put all those surrounding players kids' in private schools. That it is RODGERS that made the pack good, and if you put an avg QB on the pack that team would be 7-9.

Hello.... its what Ive been saying fopr years. These GMs, coaches, WRs, RBs...... they are fall within that bell shaped curve. Theya re all good, but none are significantly better than anyone else..... uneil the HOF QB is on the roster. Then all of the sudden that coach is just a little bit smarter than the others. That GM is just a little bit better.... those scouts are just a little bit better...... and.. here it is.......... The owner must be great. He must not get involved. He hires coaches and lets them coach.... bahahahahhahahahahahahhah

QB, it starts and ends right there and it was absolutely proven beyond any doubt last season when a 72 year old Tom Brady joined a Bucs team that had been below avg for a very long time went out and won a SB, AGAIN!

Those summer coaching classes that Arians took last year must have really paid off. Hes great!

I’m a huge Brady fan and he no doubt put them over the top but it wouldn’t have happened just anywhere.

Bucs had a good defense. And they had some weapons for Brady. And went out and brought in a couple more. And Arians was a good enough coach to bring it all together.

As always, there’s contributing factors. And none greater than Brady. But he needed some help.

And I think it’s fair for Rodgers to desire a similar situation at this point in his career

When you're lucky enough to have a potential HOF QB playing at a high level, give him the best talent, keep him happy and stay the hell out his way, not that hard IMO. Packs using a 1st round on QB last made no sense at all ..........but I've read/heard bits and pieces the last couple of years that some in their FO are ready to move on. As one tweet suggested, yes he's a HOFer but he's also high maintenance.

Yep . HOF caliber QB’s just makes it easier . They mask a lot of other weaknesses.

And since you basically have to pay your Franchise QB similar ransom as we just witnessed , the difference in their Eliteness does make a difference.

We had some great teams in late 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s with several solid QB’s. But only 1 led us to the promise land.

The OP is correct.

There is no doubt that a HOF QB is much, much more important than a good head coach.

Belichick’s career record without Brady is 61-72 with only 1 playoff win.

I don't get my takes from any BSPN talking head especially him. He has no clue what it takes to build a football team. Anyone who thinks it just takes a QB is out of touch with reality. If it was the case, then Brady would have won a SB every year he played or Rogers.

I don’t think he’s saying it just takes a QB. If he is then he’s wrong.

Bit it does make it a lot easier the greater QB you have. And why teams go to such extremes and investments to land one.

I’m not sure why he doesn’t think Green Bay is a good enough place after back to back championship appearances?

He just wants out of GB and is using any excuse possible to make it look like it's the organizations fault so he won't upset his brand with the fans of GB.

It's a parity league.

Everyone has similar talent. QB is the big difference maker.
It’s the biggest difference but not the only difference.

I’d argue there’s not similar talent throughout the league at all other positions . And why we have top defenses and bottom dwellers.

In the end it’s about talent throughout the roster with none more important than QB. Which the greater the QB the easier it is.

Every team has holes. All of them.

When your QB is elite it solves nearly all of your problems.
