Some don't, maybe. Any fan who experienced the late 90's and early 2000's gets it.Salary cap league.. This ain’t Jimmy’s league.. Cowboy fans still don’t get it.

Nope. Syracuse did have a very good coach in McPherson back in the 80's and 90's.so would I..... but that doesn make Saban so elite over others.
And it seems like no ones happy with him including his family and everyone of his girl friends.Imagine that, Rogers isn’t happy again. And people blamed Mike. It’s just Rogers that isn’t happy regardless of whomever is there.
So, how would you define Eliteness amongst coaches?so would I..... but that doesn make Saban so elite over others.
I guess you didnt follow along with the rules of the gmae. Try again and start naming all of those guys to win in the SALARY CAP ERA. Now also eliminate the ones that won with an all time great defense. It’s not rare at all for non-elite QB’s to be on a winning SB team. Nick Foles, Joe Flacco, Rypien, Hostettler, Doug Williams, Phil Simms, Theisman, Plunkett, Dawson. Not rare at all.
State Farm looks happy with him.And it seems like no ones happy with him including his family and everyone of his girl friends.
just like putting in golf. When your QB is elite it solves nearly all of your problems.
You act like great coaches would line up to work for Jerry. I sincerely doubt that. I hated the McCarthy hire but it is probably as good as we can where he is "comfortable ".I still can't believe how little effort they put into such a big hire for us.
So, how would you define Eliteness amongst coaches?
Does it equate with success?

Your choices just got pretty slim... even rare.
You said it was rare for a non-elite QB to win a SB. No mention in that post about salary cap era. I proved you wrong. It's ok, we're all wrong from time to time.Uhm.... well it isnt like Brady is the only Elite QB. he has to compete against the other Elite QBs...I did this once before. You pretty much have to have elite QB or an all time great defense to win the SB.
There are RARE exceptions to this rule. But go back to 1995 and look and see, Its not complicated, and those great coaches have zero to do with it.
George Seifert was awesome.... with Joe montana and Steve young under center. How great was he when he went to Carolina?
Not sure why you give little or no credit to the assembling of teams talent. And those decision making process can be critical much like their QB’s. Not to mention their leadership and motivational skillsI dont thin there is elite coaching. I think they are all damn good. One coach calls a play that breaks down and QB creates a TD out of nothing. Other coach calls same play , play works perfectly and QB underthrows the WR and it results in a pick 6. First coach is called a genius, other guy ends up getting fired.
Coaches at the NFL level know their stuff.... period. Now some are bad decision makers in game situations... and that Imo shouldn't be that hard. Stuff like clock management, when to go for two..... should be easy. Apparently it isnt.
In Cap era it is more of the exception. Perhaps “ rare” wasn’t the appropriate term. You said it was rare for a non-elite QB to win a SB. No mention in that post about salary cap era. I proved you wrong. It's ok, we're all wrong from time to time.
It's been two years since McCarthy was with Rodgers and since then Rodgers has won an MVP and been 1 game from the Super Bowl two years in a row.Well, it has just been one single year.
Greeny today was talking (well its what he does) and I swear he must have been reading my posts. He was saying how he doesnt want to hear about the talent the Packers have put around Rodgers. He said that QBs like Rodgers have put all those surrounding players kids' in private schools. That it is RODGERS that made the pack good, and if you put an avg QB on the pack that team would be 7-9.
Hello.... its what Ive been saying fopr years. These GMs, coaches, WRs, RBs...... they are fall within that bell shaped curve. Theya re all good, but none are significantly better than anyone else..... uneil the HOF QB is on the roster. Then all of the sudden that coach is just a little bit smarter than the others. That GM is just a little bit better.... those scouts are just a little bit better...... and.. here it is.......... The owner must be great. He must not get involved. He hires coaches and lets them coach.... bahahahahhahahahahahahhah
QB, it starts and ends right there and it was absolutely proven beyond any doubt last season when a 72 year old Tom Brady joined a Bucs team that had been below avg for a very long time went out and won a SB, AGAIN!
Those summer coaching classes that Arians took last year must have really paid off. Hes great!
Rodgers only had one. But he’s been to several championship games . I wanna say 5 without looking it up. And on the most part without a lot of elite supporting cast or top 10 defense. So, how many championships does Rogers have? He's the best! Brady, has not one, not two, not three, but seven.
Right.. not bad. He could have done worse elsewhere. It's been two years since McCarthy was with Rodgers and since then Rodgers has won an MVP and been 1 game from the Super Bowl two years in a row.
