And if Dak goes off for 400 yards and 3 touchdowns should we temper expectations? Or should we be over the top like you are going to act if he has a bad game?
It depends.

Did he not do anything the first 2 1/2 quarters and only start putting up those empty stats once we wet down by 3 TDs and the defense started playing soft? Ya know, like his 2020 season.

I have no issue with starting with Tampa, pretty much all upside. You win and you walk out of this game with a lot of confidence heading into the rest of the season and you get 10 days to get ready for week 2 opponent so win or lose you get a bit of an edge heading into the 2nd game, which likely will be a home game. In the end you have 17 games on the schedule so who we play in week 1 is no big deal.

nice fans around here game 1 lots of time to prepare, i say we have as good a chance as any..

we will be helathy if 10% of our OL and Dak come out feeling good, we have far more of chance then people will give us..we play the underdog role better, all the talk will be auto loss around the eague..al off season that all the team, coaches, and players will hear..trust me i like that as motivating factor game 1..

Assuming both teams make it out of training camp and the preseason healthy, this is a good litmus test for the Cowboys. The Quinn defense against Brady and the Cowboys offense against that Bucs defense. It won't necessarily be a full forecast of the season, but, it will be good to see how they fair.

If you are expecting the Quinn offense to come out gang busters right out of the game with little experience, rookies, and new players, you are kidding yourself.

bucs 31, dallas 13. Won't be close. We have far too much change going on to start fast.

Yah we can disagree here. Chance are we lose this game. Not saying we cant win, just not likely. Dak coming off injury, defense having one offseason with new players to get their act together. Probably not going to happen.

The Cowboys are already opening the NFL by playing in the Hall of Fame game.

I thought there were 32 teams in the NFL. That would mean the Cowboys play in the Hall of Fame game every 16 years, right? So, why is it that they will play in their 4th HOF game in the past ten years? That's one extra opportunity to lose player to injury during a meaningless and boring game after the first half of the 1st quarter?

I think I know who is responsible for the unequal amount of HOF participation. That would be someone looking for an opportunity to showcase the team for additional publicity and exposure.

Then, not only do the Cowboys have to play the defending Super Bowl champions at their stadium to open the regular season, it will be the first time in over a year that the stadium will be filled. The fans are going to go absolutely nuts.

And should the Cowboys lose, they will have a full ten days to think about it. There should be some clause in whatever agreement there is where the Cowboys never have to play another Thursday game because they always play on Thanksgiving.

Who made this decision, was it influenced by overt lobbying on the part of anyone?

How are you right about something that hasn’t happened yet? You are trolling this morning...
I'm referring to the "did nothing for the first 2 1/2 quarters until we was down 3 TDs and the defenses starting playing soft" part.

Ya know, that part that you ignored because you know it's true?

You seem like a huge Dak homer, so I'll try this question with you because nobody else will answer it truthfully.

Why does Kirk Cousins have 5 seasons just as good as Daks statistically best season? Kirk is going to give you around 4,300 yards, 30 TDs, and around 10 INTs a season. Dak has put up those number once. Why is Kirk considered a bum, but Dak worth the 2nd biggest contract ever?
