Yah we can disagree here. Chance are we lose this game. Not saying we cant win, just not likely. Dak coming off injury, defense having one offseason with new players to get their act together. Probably not going to happen.
Anything can happen. Especially in the NFL.

The Cowboys are already opening the NFL by playing in the Hall of Fame game.

I thought there were 32 teams in the NFL. That would mean the Cowboys play in the Hall of Fame game every 16 years, right? So, why is it that they will play in their 4th HOF game in the past ten years? That's one extra opportunity to lose player to injury during a meaningless and boring game after the first half of the 1st quarter?

I think I know who is responsible for the unequal amount of HOF participation. That would be someone looking for an opportunity to showcase the team for additional publicity and exposure.

Then, not only do the Cowboys have to play the defending Super Bowl champions at their stadium to open the regular season, it will be the first time in over a year that the stadium will be filled. The fans are going to go absolutely nuts.

And should the Cowboys lose, they will have a full ten days to think about it. There should be some clause in whatever agreement there is where the Cowboys never have to play another Thursday game because they always play on Thanksgiving.

Who made this decision, was it influenced by overt lobbying on the part of anyone?
My hunch is JERRY JONES lobbies for this game. Its all about garnering as much exposure and attention as possible. It equals more money in merch and ticket sales. PLUS the tv money for this game. Follow the money folks. Its the bottomline here.

Is it so difficult and hurtful for you to talk reality? Do you think the cowboys will be favored in that game?

Are you good for any rational football discussion or just cheerleading?
Talk reality? All you said was 0-1....you’re just being negative and disgusting it as being a realist. I’m a fan. I think we have a chance to win depending on what Cowboy team shows up ..

I never understood the the whole "just because it's my favorite team I am required to have unrealistic expectations for them and hate one anyone that tries to look at it realistically" mindset.

Cowboys fans are laughing stock because for the past quarter of a century, every single offseason, they are going to the Super Bowl and will tell everyone that will listen.

Love being the first game of the season in the national spotlight. But Thursday night games suck.

also no doubleheader on Monday night. I believe they’re going to do Saturday night for a game instead

Don't know. But if you can trust Wiki:

"The two teams that play in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game are typically selected by the league in advance of the remainder of the preseason schedule. The participants are usually announced around the time that the new Hall of Fame members are announced, which coincides with Super Bowl week. Often, if a particularly notable player will be entering the Hall of Fame that year, a team they were strongly associated with may be selected to play in the game to help maximize attendance and publicity of the game itself".

Drew Pearson and Cliff Harris both to be enshrined, as well as Polamalu, etc. for the Steelers. So that's probably the reason...

I'm referring to the "did nothing for the first 2 1/2 quarters until we was down 3 TDs and the defenses starting playing soft" part.

Ya know, that part that you ignored because you know it's true?

You seem like a huge Dak homer, so I'll try this question with you because nobody else will answer it truthfully.

Why does Kirk Cousins have 5 seasons just as good as Daks statistically best season? Kirk is going to give you around 4,300 yards, 30 TDs, and around 10 INTs a season. Dak has put up those number once. Why is Kirk considered a bum, but Dak worth the 2nd biggest contract ever?
He’s had one season with 30 Touchdowns and 10 picks.....what do you mean 5 seasons?

Well, as the saying goes, "on any given Sunday". But, in this case...Thursday!! It will be interesting to see how well they play against Tampa Bay. I'm looking forward to it!!

if anyone here actually believes the bucs will lose their home opener coming off a SB win they are delusional. Of course I will watch, but we will soon see the stark differences between an actual well ran team, and one that is ragged and in flux. I think we will be better in the long haul, but not on this day guys.

So why watch to see them lose? Who wants to see a poorly ran team loss before the game even starts?

I expect the bucs to start fast. How we respond will be telling. I see them testing the middle of our defense early and often with the run game. We better be damn well prepared or we will get run early.
