No because he wasn't the main reason why we went on such a long winning streak. Where he was drafted is irrelevant towards MVP. He and Zeke complemented one another - Prescott wouldn't have had as much success without being able to hand off the ball to such a powerful young running back and the offensive line was as dominant as I have seen. Prescott had an excellent rookie season but it was pretty much the dream offensive set up for any rookie QB. That season the team was of a 13 winning game standard so it didn't over achieve in my opinion.

Rodgers played with several garbage cans on offense and defense as they struggled with injuries. It's still underrated how impressive that was by Rodgers to get such an average/at times poor team to 10-6. But that's what an MVP is all about for me.
So maybe you’re cheering for the wrong team. Last I checked. Wisconsin isn’t located near Texas. Prescott did what no rookie before him did. He beat Tom bradys record for consecutive passes without a pick. But let’s keep belittling the guy who’s never had a losing season in Dallas. Makes total sense. I’m betting on Prescott to win mvp this year because the odds are amazing. If I put 1000 on him and he pulls it off I can pay off my car. Lol

Again I don't understand why people have a problem with my post. I stated that Dak Prescott had an excellent rookie season. But in reality he was not near to even being in the MVP conversation that season for previous reasons given. I thought Josh Allen was excellent last season but again, he didn't lay a glove on Rodgers for MVP.

So I'm not allowed to appreciate MVP quarterback play from any other QB unless he plays for the Cowboys?

Not when it’s the guy who kicked your apparent team out of the playoffs 2 times. Lol.

Nothing fancy lol.
I think you're being modest.
Probably sporting around in a classic Barracuda.
Got a newbie in the garage and it's for work, but dangit! That song by Heart comes on!
And it's your fault because it's on your playlist!

If a QB wins MVP next season (likely to be fair) then the chances are he will need to play in at least 15 of 17 games, throw 40+ touchdowns and fewer than 10 interceptions with the team winning at least 13 games to even be in the conversation.

If you think Prescott and the Cowboys can do that then he's worth a bet for MVP.

Because it isn't going to happen. The team will not win enough games for starters, Prescott is coming off a serious foot injury and to win MVP the QB has to be the reason why the team wins some games during the season. Prescott isn't that type of QB. He's more Alex Smith than Patrck Mahomes.
But yet Dak just got paid more like Mahomes than Alex Smith who was let go for Fitzpatrick who has 0 playoff wins

You're a bonafied hypocrite and a soreloser. What you give other QBs credit for winning MVP, you won't give Dak for what he truly deserved his rookie year in 2016. You and your hypocritical, biased opinions are a joke, and now everyone knows it.

Salud!

I think he can do it.
I really do.
I'm not going to the pound the hammer upon the rock about it and I'm not going to discount anyone who doubts it.
That's completely fair.

I'm very much looking forward to this season and the results that come from it.

So let me get this straight, you are convinced that Prescott should have been League MVP in 2016?

His problem that season was that he and Zeke basically came as a package and I think the voters found it difficult to vote for one as they both helped each other.
I can see that from the voter's standpoint.
Poignant.

Hey I'm interested to see how Prescott gets on next season. I would love to eat my words and hold my hands up if he wins MVP.
