he'd be better if the defense would block for him better.
He's not the #1 us Cowboy fans are used too. We have grown used to those big physical, take over a game, passionate #1's. He's different. And sooner or later different scares people. He had 92 receptions for 1114 last year with the likes of Ninucci and company. That’s the opposite of shrinking. Sure, he’s not the leader that Irvin was but there’s more than one way to lead.
That’s just an opinion one not based on fact. What Risen was referring to was in certain situations when Cooper needs to elevate his game he has not been able to do it.
Overall the season on the whole he has delivered, but in the "big" game, he has not.
I’d never heard he was injured.I don't think he's underrated. I think he has some ongoing health issues with his lower body that keep him from always being the player we see on some plays and in some games. A healthy Cooper is about as hard to cover as anyone in the league. When his lower-body issues are a problem, it takes away from that speed and route-running ability that put him in that upper echelon.
Remember that the Raiders chose to trade him away, which you generally don't do with highly rated players (although they also traded Khalil Mack, so part of it was the Raiders going full rebuilding mode). However, here's the key IMO to why they traded Cooper. Gruden said during the offseason: “That’s been one of our number one objectives is to make number 89 the main vein of our pass offense. If Coop can get healthy and stay healthy, we expect big things from him. He’s gonna be the main target I think in a lot of our passes.”
He’s always made the big catch. Just as much as any other top receiver. He's not the #1 us Cowboy fans are used too. We have grown used to those big physical, take over a game, passionate #1's. He's different. And sooner or later different scares people.
I got that last line from the Accountant movie. lol. Because we are scared that he'll drop the ball in the biggest of moments. So is he really a #1 if you can't trust him to make the big catch? That's the real question.
lets hope we are in a position thus season to find out in meaningful end of year games. I would LOVE to find that out. The guy has never been on a winning team in the NFL so he's never really been in a position to show out in those types of moments. Maybe this year will be different. This offense has a chance to be like those late 90's early 2000's rams teams and if the defense can be halfway decent, we have a shot. He's not the #1 us Cowboy fans are used too. Rated by who? Cowturd? Steven *** Smith?Where is he rated?
He killed Alexander though. And if we could've held up better vs Donald he would've played better vs Ramsey too.Rated right where he should be. Was completely shutdown by Gilmore
Great players don’t have ifsHe killed Alexander though. And if we could've held up better vs Donald he would've played better vs Ramsey too.
Amari has games where he disappears.
No, Michael Irvin didn't.All receivers do.
Actually, he did. All WR’s do.No, Michael Irvin didn't.
He’s always made the big catch. Just as much as any other top receiver.
Yep and we’re entitled to our opinions. That’s just an opinion not one based on fact.
