It's 2023, bros. Things are looking up. Jerry's older. McCarthy's fatter. Prescott's in prison. The Cowboys are emerging as serious contenders with a young QB and a developing defense. They even drafted a running back that they can find a helmet for.

But who is the better player on this new and improved defense? Gallimore or Odigizumomma?

Pick one and only one. I'll grade your response later.

I hate to answer this way but it may depend on scheme. Despite both being labeled as 3-techs, there are plenty of differences between the two.

Gallimore will be a better pure 3-tech and will have more success shooting the gap and getting in the backfield quickly but I’m not sure how much his game will round out beyond that, and even when he does that he isn’t great at finishing.

Osa doesn’t have the linear explosion of Gallimore, or the girth but if you fast forward to 2023, I think he will be much better at using his hands than Neville, better at finishing plays, and better at controlling blockers due to his long arms. He is and will be the better 2-gap defender of the two and will be better suited to kick out a bit as a 4-, 5-, or 6-tech than Gallimore.

I think Osa has the higher floor but Gallimore could turn into a prototypical 3-tech while I think Osa may end up as more a Swiss Army knife, Tyrone Crawford type.

Gallimore has the size and physical traits teams look for; but he has to understand how to better use leverage and shed blocks.

Odighizuwa, on the other hand, is a master at doing that but lacks the size teams usually look for at the position.

So right now it's too close to call. I think both will develop into solid starters but the jury is out if either will be a Pro Bowl level talent.

Gallimore is starter material and has more of the size you need. Has skills as a pass rusher.

Osa has what? Undersized, doesnt do anything great. Rotation guy.

Gallimore is the Canadian Bulldozer, showed something last year, at least to me. Loved them drafting some D Line guys this year even Osa, he's a rookie and I don't expect a whole lot but more than they have for awhile. Even a nose-tackle. Hard to believe. Gotta be Quinn's influence because no way Spaulding/Smails do that otherwise.

Wow, you guys just eat up whatever the coaches say and adopt it almost word for word. Always get a kick out of that.
