I already posted the stats a few times so I will summarize here. Cooper is the 4th highest paid WR in the NFL. He was 2nd when he got his contract from Dallas. But look at his career record of games. He has 6, 7 or 8 games every year where he catches less than 50 yards in passes. That's about twice as many as the other top receivers in the league. Again, this isn't a question of whether Cooper is great or he sucks, the question is, is he great or just good? because he gets paid great money.
So you're gauging his skill based on what Jerry Jones paid him?

Well yeah. I thought it was agreed on by now that he's very good not great.

Well, here we go.....

If this is a typical Cowboy season then the starting WR's for game #1 against the Bucs will probably be Noah Brown, Cedric Wilson and T.J. Vasher.

I'm probably overreacting, right?.......................right?

.....he's clutch at best. The last 3 yrs when we needed crucial yardage for gain, he was there. He's not a Moss or Fitzgerald, but he holds his own. Is he overpaid? Yep.

"Hopeful" to be ready for camp.

Lamb, Gallup, Wilson it is.

Uh oh, another foot injury to Cooper.

Nice $20 mil/season Cowboys are spending.

If his foot/feet keep acting up, thus costing Cooper to miss time or not play at 100% yet again, I say the Cowboys should start looking for a trade partner before the trade deadline.

Not a big deal.

If he was any other WR on the team, he’d be practicing. They’re just being careful with the $100m guy.

If you traded everyone who was suffering a foot injury right now you'd have no one on the team lol.

If that were to happen they'd probably be selling low.

Typically I would agree but he has been fighting ankle injuries for a few seasons now. Not good.

I think a lot of his issues are plantar fasciitis, which would be a bottom of the foot problem.

I dont see Jerry as a cut his losses type in that case.

At any rate, Amari Cooper still cannot find his way on to the list of players I'm concerned about for 2021.

Still carry that salary if this defense didn't get better and we missed the playoffs with him for the last three years....or is he an invaluable piece of this offense?

That's a question for January either way.

A couple years ago there was a report he had a chronic issue that he’ll always have to deal with. Was that the ankle or the foot?

Edit:

I think a lot of his issues are plantar fasciitis, which would be a bottom of the foot problem.

that’s what it was
