If you could pick one rookie to have a HOF career, which one would you choose?

Nashon wright would be my pick. If he has a HoF career, that mean diggs and joseph are your # 2 and #3 cb's, and that would be one heck of a CB trio

Hard to argue with picking a CB. If Diggs and Joseph are your #2 and your #3, you should be set for a long time, too.

Regardless of their draft position, if you could have one of these guys go on to have a first-ballot Hall of Fame career for the Cowboys, who would you choose? This isn't asking who has the best shot, just who you'd like it to be.

I think I would choose Bohanna. Having a nose tackle dominating at that level would change our entire team. If there's one position on the defense that could change entire games, I think it's that one.

What about you?
Based on pay scale at positions QB, WR, DE, LT and CB

Obvious answer is Kelvin Joseph or Simi Fehoko

No brainer, Parsons.

I think Parsons has the most realistic chance at a first ballot HOF, remote at best, but I agree with the OP. You get a DT/NT as a first ballot, you've got a wrecking ball in the middle of your line because it's hard to make it in as a DT. You imagine what kind of D you've got with a guy like that? That's Lilly, Randle, Sapp and Donald territory.

It’s really a question of what position you prefer over who the actual player is

It only took a mere matter of time for someone to TOTALLY misunderstand your post.

I go Michael Parsons. Why?

1. I don't think we've had a Hall of Fame linebacker among the Cowboy linebacker greats.
2. I think if he's anywhere near a Hall of Famer, Parsons completely changes this defense.
3. A Hall of Fame corner (unless he's Deion Sanders caliber) isn't going to make as much of an impact on the defense as a linebacker. You want to neutralize a corner? Don't throw his way. But a linebacker can rush the passer, stop the run and drop back and cover tight ends. We're talking Parsons, who runs an insane 4.3 40, which is unheard of. Again, if he's ANYWHERE near a Hall of Famer, this defense IMMEDIATELY becomes one of the best in the league, and with this offense, we should be a Super Bowl contender.

Seems we’ve reached the part of the discussion where you got busted not reading the OPs message correctly and then, in usual form, doubled down, despite everyone else getting it and using what most logical humans call “reading comprehension.” Basically it was a fun topic you tried to ruin while waving “look at me, look at me.”

OP, it made perfect sense. I also agree with your choice as it has been woefully missing from our D for ages

Your exactly right on this I think. He would have to have an Aaron Donald career and there would be no more impactful player for the Cowboys than having an Aaron Donald type in the middle!

I’ll go with WR Eagles because it would rub salt in the Philadelphia Eagle fans’ wounds. A Cowboy UFA named Eagles is a Hall of Famer and did better than the Eagles’ 1st round pick Devanta Smith.

2nd Choice would be safety Coyle.

3rd Choice would be Mukuamu. Sounds like he was very thankful Jerry picked him.

4th Choice would be Wr Aaron Parker.

I look at it as maximizing the increase of expected performance. Parsons already has a legitimate potential of being HoF. Wouldn't want to hand pick him as a shoe-in for the HoF. I want to take one of the least likely players and elevate them to HoF status to get the most value of the gift horse, if the genie in the bottle allowed me the opportunity.
