What if Deshaun Watson ends up in Philly?

Rumors are the Eagles are interested in Watson and apparently make the most sense on where he will end up. I guess because it's an NFC team and the Eagles need a QB or would want to upgrade.

Watson is a dangerous QB, but honestly I wouldn't mind it.

The Eagles will most likely have to give up a ton of draft capital (which they have). Their team is so incomplete right now on both sides of the ball that even Watson wouldn't make them competitive. So, sure let them trade away 3 1st rounders and a couple of other picks for Watson. They won't be able to rebuild for a couple of more seasons through the draft.

Plus, the Eagles are still in a bad cap situation. They have 12 million in cap space in 2022. Watson's cap hit is $40 million. They'll have to let a couple of players go or restructure deals to only hurt themselves in future years.

Zeke was accused of DV by his ex in July of 2016. He was allowed to play the entire 2016 season.
And if you believe the espn story from 2017, Goodell wasn't going to do much until he got pressure from Kraft and Blank.

Watson shouldn't even be allowed to play all of 2021!

Why isn't he suspended by now?

Why aren't Cowboys fans in an uproar, especially after what Badell did to Zeke and the Cowboys based on the complaints from 1 woman against Zeke back in 2017, compared to over 20 against Deshaun Watson now in 2021?

Cowboys fans are in an uproar. The hypocrisy of the NFL is on display for all to see.

The real question is why the media that was so eager to follow Zeke’s case and reported on it virtually every day, is basically bored and yawning when it comes to following Watson’s case. Same lack of interest in the stories of harassment out of Washington.... or of course Kraft’s case from the massage parlor.

Zeke was made a scapegoat pure and simple. PR move to show the world they are “tough” on DV.

I have different take on why Zeke got skrewed so ! I have a theory:

*** The League office is obviously in NYC and populated by employees that many are NYG fans. The GiAints appeared to be threatened by the Cowboys in 2017 (remember the NYG pinned 2 of our 3 2016 losses on us and they made the playoffs). Goodhell is a huge NYG fan. I think it could have simply been to tactically help the GiAints. ***

I didn't know about Kraft and Blank pushing hard for punitive results against Zeke (and thus the Cowboys). Neither of these 2 are fans of Jerry. The NFL club is obviously small and jealousies and dislikes can abound. Both of these 2 owners seem to be huge richards.

Lastly the Cowboys really get no breaks from the League. I'm still smarting on the 10 games without an offensive holding penalty benefitting us.

On Watson. I think major disciplinary is forthcoming and he'll be traded fo sho. Philthy has the draft capital. Seems logical that they'd suffer the brunt of Watson's penalty because they are in QB hell right now. Hurts is not an answer. Houston needs a major rebuild and seems to have set themselves up for it. Seems a win for each organization.

Make no mistake, Watson will make them an offensively strong team. He's good. Living in the Houston TV market I watch them from time to time.

Yes but wasn't Zeke not suspended until after the NFL made their investigation? Watson's investigation is still ongoing, so if I'm correct in my recollections, Zeke wasn't suspended solely on the one accusation.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about Zeke's suspension, I've tucked that subject way back in my mind, not sure if I can recall it...

The scariest part would be if Watson got under an OC who would teach him about ball control, clock management, stuff like that. At present he's a great big play QB who struggles w/ consistently moving the ball.

True. Zeke was investigated, but his investigation was quick and swift. Watson's has been going on for months, yet we've heard nothing from Badell about it.

Because Zeke was accused of domestic assault, a violent crime.

Deshaun is being accused of… inappropriate flirting?

misconduct is an appropriate term. Who was assaulted?
"Alleged". It's under investigation.

Zeke got suspended 6 months by Badell based on "allegations" from 1 person (which the DA doing the investigation felt there was not enough conclusive evidence for any charges to be brought forward).

Why hasn't Deshaun been suspended yet when he has over 20 allegations from 20+ different women?

A number of reasons. Zeke’s girlfriend wasn’t suing Zeke at the time, there was no legal status to the allegations. The league had access to Zeke’s girlfriend, they have no in-person explanations for the alleged events probably due to the lawsuit. Deshaun also isn’t formerly charged with anything.

But the biggest one yet is They need to know what they’re suspending him for exactly. If it’s suddenly dropped, unlikely but could happen, then he probably gets a 2-4 game suspension for bad PR.

You seriously believe 20+ females are all suddenly going to drop charges against Deshaun Watson?
