Red somewhere the other day that they have been making videos for washington fans and at one point someone was talking to HC Rivera and said they narrowed it down to three names. They blocked out the names or beeped them. Do not know if that is true or not but I would not doubt it.

I still like Skinwalkers. Keeps part of their original name and stays within the Native American theme. And would be the first cryptid in the NFL.

So when will this name be actually used? My guess is we're still going to have to call them "Football Team" for another year. I still remember the day I found out they would go by that name and thought I was being trolled.

Warthogs has a good flow. Won't happen cause little Danny is already the wart in the NFL.

Buckskins are beautiful horses with the color of a deer, but I see somebody being offended.

I really like the Washington Willy Wonkas, but there is probably a Native American tribe called the Wonkas.

Washington Willy Wankers will probably offend Gimmetheball and the rest of his fellow wankers.

Wildcards sounds good but it might limit their season potential to the wildcard round, which is OK.

Washington Wildbunch, but like the Redhogs it only ties them to a particular time period in their history.

I like the Wishers but I think they are stuck with WFT.

The Red Wolves name is the logical choice.

Same color. Wolves don't offend anyone. Who hates a wolf?

Other than that, I do not see a name that makes sense either from a marketing or common sense standpoint.

Honestly, if they wanted to play into the elite soccer thing they could just stick with WFT.

I think given the history of the team and the o-line being the backbone of their run from 81-91, that RedHogs is just so much better

I think they'll go with the Washington Football Team. That has kind of grown on me.
But I do like the Commanders.
