Dak is a great QB

Funny to watch some trash Brady and blame the refs to somehow legitimize Dak. Did he play better than expected? Yes. Did the team lose? Yes. What does it matter how one player performs if the team loses? The fact so many try and paint this game as a moral victory is desperation in its finest. The fact is the team lost because the offense threw 58 times and rushed 18 times while the defense sucked because management has time and time again focused resources toward the offense while ignoring the defense ($102M towards offense and $81M towards defense....of which DLaw and J. Smith count $34.8M of that $81M).

PERIOD! END OF STORY! Dak put the team in position to win that game. Dak played a monster of a game, and he went toe to toe against Brady and came a BS non-call OPI away from beating the Bucs.
He played great. The pick was not his fault. Perfectly thrown ball. He did miss some throws early and had one or two that could have been picked. But that will happen when you have to throw every down and against a great dline. And he hasn't played meaningful football it almost a year.

Could not have asked for a better performance from dak. And the defense created a few turnovers. But we still lost. Crazy

You mean how receivers and backs where adjusting for Brady. Go back and watch the first pick he threw to Fornette and tell me that was accurate.

Dak by far had the hardest task when comparing teams. Even if they played close as good, Dak gets the edge because Tampa has a superbowl winning elite defense. Dallas defense broke records for how bad they were.

Dak played better than Brady last night, doesn't mean Dak is the better QB..... well not yet

Exactly! Lest some have forgotten, that same defence held the CHIEFS to 9 points.

Of course, I was making this thread to highlight the point about Dak. For those that don't post in the off-season and preseason, there were raging debates about Dak, and this should hopefully end that debate.

Does for me!

My doubts were not about Dak the qb. He doesn't have anything to prove to me about that. Just the terrible injury and time away.

I thought he looked dam good for all that.

I agree, in this specific game, as with many others, there is nothing more that Dak could have done. As I said, this was probably the best throwing game in his career. Hell, even the INT was clearly not his fault. That might have been the best pass he threw in the game in a game full of great passes.

Yet as in any results based bushiness, the end of game results matter.

I love Dak as our QB, just like I loved Romo as our QB. Not everything is/was their fault, but they have not reached the point where if given 1:30 at the end of the game, there is little to no doubt they pull off the win, even if they don't.

If the word "cusp" offends you, there isn't anything I can do. You seem to think it is a bad thing when I see it as 100% positive. After all, cusp is usually used to describe someone/thing on the verge of greatness.

I think Prescott is great, and if he was to win a Super Bowl, no one could deny that anymore.
You’re talking out both sides of your mouth, yes he played a great game and the loss is not on him, but the team lost so the loss is on him.

Ronnie, I hate to disagree with you, but I have to on this one. Dak played well, but he was not the best QB on the field last night, not even close. His pass placement was not nearly as good as TB12. His downfield accuracy was not as good, especially in the redzone. Dak has gotten better, but once again there were some situations where receivers had to change their direction or alter their stride to make a catch thus negating YAC, you don't see that from TB12.
Oh, and I don't think the OPI you were looking for was an OPI, I think the defender just fell down. Looks to me like the Cowboys secondary hasn't improved all that much.
Dak outplayed the GOAT. Period. You were watching with an agenda.

He pointed out basic statistics. Why the need to call on a Mod to justify your insulting people? I just do not get it in the least.
He copies me all the time. I called him the forum MasterHater....and he started using it.

I called him out in Bob's great post...and now he's doing that here.

He has a thing for me. ;)

Show us what you are talking about.

You are smart enough to find an example? Back up your tough guy bs?
You’re not worth the effort. You’ve been saying it for months. Everyone knows it. You try to hide behind some holier than thou persona but it doesn’t work.

Let’s discuss the game. Zuerlin lost the game. Brown contributed to that loss. The offensive line played great despite being without their best player. Lamb needs to pull his head out. Dak outplayed the GOAT.

And the refs screwed us on the no call
