Dak is a great QB

The focus on Tampa stopping the run game is why he threw 58 times and had 400yds. He failed to make Tampa pay deep within the redzone cause he struggles to throw in a compressed field. He’s a good qb but I don’t think he’s great. Teams don’t dare great QBs to beat them

I don't agree aat all with the "teams don’t dare great QBs to beat them" part of your comment, sorry but I don't.

Tampa threw linebackers and safeties at Dak all night. Despite that he completed 72% of his passes and 3 tds. Do I think at this point he's a GREAT quarterback? No, it's too early to say one way or the other, I reserve judgment on that until after the season's over. But he's at least VERY GOOD, we'll see if he's great, or not, in a few months...

I think Dak began to show greatness last season and basically picked up where he left off last year in the game last night. I have always felt that "great" is the most overused word in sports.. But Dak is stacking up a lot of evidence that he has turned the corner on greatness. That was a top 5 defense he faced last night with a top 1 or 2 defensive front and he carved them up.. despite getting beat to hell in the process and no running game. It's not HIS fault he handed the defense a lead late in the game (again) and they coughed it up. I put the blame on Moore for how the last drive was handled. They left way too much time and I said it immediately when we hit the FG. With all the pressure the Bucs sent after Dak and all the hits he took he deserves a purple heart.. I'm not doubting that kid any more.. He's as good as any QB in the league and he showed it last night.. I think he put up double the yards and three more TDs against that defense as Mahomes did.. and far outperformed what Rodgers did against them as well.. but yall aint hear dat from me..

Precisely star.

I'm ready to put down the gloves and end this childish silliness. He's just gotta keep digging and picking the wounds. Crazy.
I wouldn’t put much into it. He’s somewhat of a drama instigator and it takes 2 to tango .

while I agree with a lot of his takes on Dak I don’t agree with how he addresses others but he’s not alone in this forum there are others . I blame the internet

the difference between he and Pappy is Pappy is more of a crap on the team guy whereas he tends to crap on people but they are both trollish at times

But you have no problem going on and on in others threads claiming that HE can't beat good teams.

Exactly! And Dak had the team in position to beat the Bucs who SLAUGHTERED PATRICK MAHOMES AND THE CHIEFS! That's right! So, Dak had the team in position. The defence failed us at the end and kicker failed us.

Try getting your facts straight as I haven't posted anything about him not beating good teams. I stated several times that Dak played better than expected but what does that matter if the team lost? There are too many focused solely on Dak and how he did rather than how the team did.

I posted this to basically end the discussion of is Dak a great QB. We need a new kicker and the defence will be better as they develop. Time for Quinn and McCarthy to earn their money.

I am ready for week 2. The 10 days off will not be as long as if we looked completely horrible.
Quite a few things to clean up. This game could have been won. So take that and improve upon.

We are 0-1, and a heck of a lot of football to play yet. Will be keeping a look to see how the division rivals do.
We will win more games than we lose from what I seen last night. TB & KC on paper are the 2 toughest games. We just went toe to toe with the World Champs in their house.

I take that as a good sign of things to come.

Dak vs. Brady
Did this game remind anyone of the Romo vs. Manning game?

Not as big of a score, but back and forth toe to toe.

Unfortunately there are those that will never admit that. They are too stubborn (or other terms) to see otherwise. And will always have some jaded reasons or take on it.
Also known as haters.

If you’re thinking that rationale thought would suddenly overtake the zone you’re setting yourself up for disappointment

we have been at odds in terms of the qb position since aikman left
I agree the defense will improve . Brown really cost us last night in the first half I didn’t watch the second. If that’s the type play we’re gonna get across from diggs then we might as well put the rookies in there to take their lumps

Greg the leg is going to come up big for us this year but he definitely cost us last night. He has to pull it together though we can’t have another 2019 where special teams cost us multiple losses

I have to remind myself today this was the world champions in their house. No one expected us to compete the way we did and we still have 16 games

Im aware that it probably won't end the debate, but it should.

There is not one football expert that would share this opinion with you, if your goal is to say an opinion that is way out of left field..you nailed it. Sorry its just a horrible take on what happened last night.

Of course, I was making this thread to highlight the point about Dak. For those that don't post in the off-season and preseason, there were raging debates about Dak, and this should hopefully end that debate.

Correct anyone who actually watches football and knows what they are seeing...knows this is true.
