The play no one is discussing

Moore should have never used him in that situation to begin w/. Jarwin can't block, and that's a well known fact.

Jarwin hasn't played in a lonnnnnng time too.

That was another uncomfortable Garrettesque Moment. "We do what we do. Next man up."

I was more perturbed by the give up play to Zeke on 3rd down before the final field goal. Williams had a hold, but the *intention* was to give up on a 1st down and just take the FG. The *long* FG for a 1 point lead that would leave Brady a minute and a half only needing a FG for the win. So very Garrett not to even *try* for the first down.

I actually think Zeke should have run north-south immediately on receiving it. That second defender isn't getting there in time and it'd be hard for the DB to stop Zeke's momentum into the end zone.

Yep. Get downhill immediately and try to beat that one guy coming across the field. Not a gimme stop for the defender.

We’re paying dak to be “the man” and he showed he can be…

need to get out of this Zeke deal and re allocate that money for Diggs/Ceedee down the road

Sometimes guys just make great open field tackles. Jarwin, however, really blew it. That was a bad attempt at any kind of blocking, and even if Zeke could have juked the first defender, Jarwin was just standing there allowing the second defender to run through. He needs to watch the tape and learn.

Problem is, we already knew that about Jarwin. I honestly can't comprehend the extreme love he gets here. Schultz is just so obviously better.

LOL, both TEs are good when we have Gallup, Cooper, and Lamb. Any TE would be good!!!! But yeah, I don't prefer Jarwin.

Zeke should not have done a stutter step. That allowed the defender to seal the corner and force a cutback. Zeke should have just take it, cut back and get as much yards as he can. He was playing cute in the backfield and that was cause this play to turn bad.

I've never got the Jarwin love, seriously. I saw you really liked him, and it shocked me.
yeah, I don't get the love neither...not really produced to deserve a contract. kind of reminds me of the crawford contract we handed out...didn't see anything with him neither, but perhaps potential based on practices....

OK, but that's just another reason we shouldn't have run a play that was completely dependent on him blocking.

I said this in 5 other posts. I couldn't agree more with you on this...this F up was on Moore...wrong call for the personnel or wrong personnel for the call. why would he isolate Jarwin, notoriously bad blocker on a saftey to block...

An analysis really points directly toward him being a gimmicky type of receiving TE. I cannot fathom why we are trying to make him into what he is not.

I like Schultz a lot better...he runs much better routes and gets separation, although he is less athletic. he is more reliable and a much better blocker.

And we have a nice blocking TE on the roster in Sprinkle. Plus, there's major joke potential if he makes the game changing block.

Schultz is much quicker, has much better feet, and wends his way through traffic like an eel. Jarwin is faster, and frankly that's about it. Speed does not equal athleticism.

Exactly. That’s what people are missing; it’s infinitely harder trying to make a guy that is already squared up on you (#26) miss than it is a guy running full speed perpendicular to you (#31). Zeke should have went up field.

Yes, I will say that poor effort and awareness on Jarwin’s part. He didn’t look to get a helmet on anyone.
