Makes sense.

Let Parsons rush the passer and use Cox & Vander Esch in pass coverage since Parsons isn’t very good at it yet.
The guy got beat by Gronk. A future HOFer at the position. In his first game. Against the GOAT QB. Yet Slater who has played 1 game is a franchise tackle in your mind after 1 game. lol. In your defense you did put "yet" so ill give ya that.

His impact on team wins as a pass rusher is where I place his true value anyway. Had a lengthy discussion with AsthmaField on how utilizing his pass rush ability properly optimizes his usefulness/importance to the team.

No other way around it.

Let's go Quinn, coach this thing up right!

hate to throw negativity on this one, but hes going to get manhandled with his hand in the dirt going against big OT's....maybe as a standup passrusher in a hybrid scheme, but he just doen't have the body type to play like a traditional DE>

True. I assume Quinn ain't gonna have him with his hand in the dirt. Gotta be the stand up outside edge LB.

Another Byron Jones. This will be a good way to waste another talent.

I had heard that as well about Parson being used more in a pass rusher role and also a more active role with Cox

Yes but Parsons’ quickness will cause problems for the OT and cause the OT to maybe play wider which opens up some things for a blitzer in the middle. Might cause the Chargers to chip with a back causing a slight delay.

This could be promising. A guy like Parsons is such an asset to have.

Pass rush situations/opportunities hopefully will evolve, and Parsons is being fast tracked quicker than the Hadron Collider to step in, as a Rook,, thats fast tracked but the position we are in demands it.

When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade.. This might get DQ to speed up the learning process of his young guns on defense. At least, once some of them get healthy again. I have a feeling this is gonna be a learning year on D and are headed for growing pains while racking up the L's unless the offense can average 30+ points a game.

They are putting a lot on the rookie if they are expecting him to become the pass rush on Sunday.
Indeed,, but its the call of duty on true pass rush downs.
Anyone that has Dak on their FF teams should be making mandatory starts,, Daks going to be throwing for 400 yds a game for this team to have a chance until we get this defense together.
