Not smart to just “move him to DE” without actually playing that position at training camp and having real prep for it.

sure rush him off the edge more, but if they put Parsons at DE and then put trash (Jaylon) at LB. it ain’t gonna help.

Should just run a 3-4 front.

I think putting Parsons hand in the dirt isn’t smart. Plus, now this guarantees Smith starts and plays the entire game.

Parsons was a DE before Penn State. So it’s not like he’s moving to a position he never played. However, he wasn’t facing 300+ offensive lineman that are in the NFL

I think it will be more of outside linebacker in a 3/4. I just don’t see him putting his hand on the ground on running downs. The Cowboys are going to use the LVE/Jaylon this game. We are down our top two pass rushers. I would love to see Cox and Goldston personally.

Broaddus talked about this at length on Friday. You're gonna see more Neal and LVE today.

We all knew that Smith/LVE would get their chance one way or the other this season. Let’s see what they can do. Two years ago they were among the best young linebackers in the league. Just give us one more game boys.

Edge rushing is about quickness and technique.

If size were the main deal, Steele would handle Bosa no problem today.

Probably not the case.

If anybody can do it, it’s Micah. Dude is an absolute freak. Im sure Quinn will have some tricks up his sleeve to get him going.

This could be lighting in a bottle that turns the defense around

I thought Armstrong was some supposed stud? Lol… the LAC are throwing out a backup RT— if our backups can’t beat their backups— then, well, we suck

Agree with just playing more 3-4. We are short on DL, long at LBer— so just dip more into the 3-4 playbook and let Micah and Basham rush as OLBs— LVE and Neal as inside backers.

Lastly, why do we announce these moves before the game? Why not at least help Micah a bit by leaving a little element of surprise? Lol…

Well in their defense, they announced it game day. It’s still around 5am West coast time lol

I like Parsons more at LBer… line him up all over the formation. DE is a mismatch and could get him hurt. He hasn’t practiced much there, and while he is certainly athletic— his technique has to be really raw.

Basham and Armstrong at least have quality NFL reps and are bigger…. Let Micah rush as a blitzer to help with QB pressure. Overload that right side and stress their backup RT out with different looks and packages.

This is my issue…we sit here every offseason and talk about how we don’t want to lose our defensive line….they really must not be worth a damn.
