Some of the red zone issues still showed up again yesterday but one of the reasons I keep citing leaped out at us on the throw into the end zone in the third quarter. Dak lobbed one up really high and it's Jarwin against a DB who he has 6 inches in height and a foot in reach on and the DB wins the jump ball. Good lord. If that's Dez it's a "Git off me" touchdown. The Cowboys desperately need a legit red zone receiver to emerge if they're going to get were they wanna go. You're not always going to be able to finesse your way open in that compressed area if the defense drops 8.

His pro day showed a 34.5 inch vertical leap. He may have lost a bit of that with the acl injury. Even so, every jump isn't equal, the pro day all he has to do is concentrate on the height of the jump and hitting a stationary measurer, game play is different, he may have thought the ball wasn't going to be so high, etc.

Let's see if it's a continuing thing or not...

right its almost like they pay thier players also...

Oh it was definitely a good play by Adderley.. but there is no question that a better leaper with that sort of size advantage goes up and takes that ball from him. I'm just concerned that we have a need for a red zone beast and we don't have one that I can see.

Jarwin can jump out the gym. Maybe not as much after the injury, but Adderley just jumped in front and got higher. The ball needed to be higher anyways. People are saying Jarwin didn't get "out jumped" bc Jarwin didn't jump as high as he could he looked like he was just trying to position himself to catch the ball. Yeah Adderley jumped higher, but he also jumped in front of him.

I have not seen a replay so that was what I remember.

Julio Jones is 6' 3" with a 38.5" vertical....Jarwin is 6' 5" with a 34.5" vertical.....so basically based on measurements Jones would do no better in coming down with that pass.

I agree I dont think we have a "Gronk Type" redzone threat on this roster.
