A closer look at Jayron Kearse’s interception that was called defensive PI

It should not have been pass interference. It should have been defensive holding because Kearse graps Cook's jersey in the back and tugs it. This helped Kearse to propel himself over Cook and bat the ball. That's probably why it was called interference.

Then it should have been OPI as well if you are going to nit-pick. I would expect that to be an interception everytime with non-cowboy defenders and wouldn't gripe one bit about it.

In real time I said they were both fighting for the ball and Cook initiated the contact, Kearse has an equal right to go after that ball & it was perfect coverage and a bad call. That was a great play by any standard and a blown call.

he meant we didnt have any safety play or good defense like weve seen last year..he was noting the differences..hes correct Kazee, hooker, Kearse all better then last years group add in the rookie soon and this is going to be better year..Lbs are better Diggs is a stud, Parsosn can play , i mean get DL playing better and we might have the makings of great defense..

It was a horrible call that was an INT. Kearse was a monster on D

It was a weak call, but sometimes you get the calls and sometimes you don't.

I believe we got our fair share of the calls yesterday.

THere were weak calls all over the place...why would you only call out the ones that would take away chargers TD's? Let alone act like those were the weakest call ever.

Those Charger plays don’t even matter if the refs get that call right and the Amari Cooper call.

Chargers had a sloppy game. Most of those calls that they made against them in the red zone were legit calls....Jared Cook committed a stupid penalty and I guess people felt like it shouldn't have been called?

I'm not against it. I don't feel a person should have his/or her experience ruined on this site by certain individuals who's sole purpose to antagonize others.

Watching the replay from behind when they showed it, you could easily see the grab and pull. I did not easily see OPI, but I admit that I wasn't looking for it because I was trying to figure out why they made the call against Kearse.

At first, I was upset because I thought they called it for him reaching over to contest the ball, which was a clean play. But when they showed the replay, the grab and pull was clear. I don't see how anyone can argue against that.
