Im really excited to see these two on the field together on passing downs

Alot of gap versatility with these two. Gallimore has his weaknesses, but he is incredibly strong and has amazing linier burst. His change of direction isnt great, but he has the power and burst to rush from either a 3T or 1T. Odighizuwa can line up all over the interior from a 1T to a 3T to 4i. I even saw a breakdown (@xwalker ?) that had him at a 5T.

The interior pass rush could be interesting this season

That’s a nice combo in the middle of the line. Should keep Jaylon from getting run over . When is Gallimore back .

I thought based on what they were known for in college that Odig would be a better run defender than Gallimore, and I don't see any evidence that I'm not right. I think when Gallimore returns, we'll continue to see Odig, Watkins and Urban as the primary run defenders with Gallimore playing primarily on passing downs. Really like what we've seen so far from Osa as a third-round rookie.

Gallimore was starting when he was hurt.

I dont think you will see much of them together on running downs. Not a great fit and neither is a run down 1T

He was, but I'm not sure he wasn't out there because Odig is a rookie. You don't just hand a rookie third-rounder a starting role unless he's tremendously better than the returning starter. There's plenty of snaps for all of them. Gallimore's strength is rushing the passer, so I think we'll want to use him mostly in that role.

For what it's worth, that would mean he's out there a lot because we're in the nickel far more than the pseudo-3-4 base.

I'm not ready to write off Trystan Hill. He seemed to be turning a corner before his recent injury.

It's actually the passing defense that is struggling, although the INT's have reduced the impact to a degree. It could just be the two opponent QB's responsible but the Cowboys had to defend the least amount of running plays so far this season.

They have yet to allow a running TD. The average yards per carry of opponent RB's is middle of the pack so far.

Where the hell is Hill? I keep forgetting he’s even on the team.
