Pack Cuts Sternberger. Should Dallas Pick Him Up?

He’s a physically talented guy who many thought he would have been a first round pick if he had gone back to A&M for another season.

I don’t know a lot about him… any A&M fans here with a take on him?

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Green Bay Packers are waiving 2019 third-round pick Jace Sternberger. Sternberger was suspended for the first two weeks of the season due to a violation of the league’s substance abuse policy. In Sternberger’s own words, he described mixing alcohol and anti-depressants in February of 2020 that led to him falling asleep behind the wheel.

Between the suspension, two concussions, an ankle injury, and a stint on the reserve/COVID list, Sternberger’s early career produced just 12 receptions, 114 receiving yards, and a touchdown before he was ultimately waived.

I’m not sure. I don’t know if his attitude is bad or what… but he’s talented as heck.

Pack is loaded at TE. M. Lewis, R. Tonya, J. Deguara, and D. Dafney are a pretty solid group. I really liked Sternberger coming out but he made it an easy decision for the Pack.

i figure Jeremy Sprinkle is destined to go when McKeon is healthy and due back.

Yes. If he clears waivers, he is free to sign to any PS of his choice.
Similar to Ron'Dell Carter clearing waivers and going to Cardinals PS instead of ours.

Yeah Mercedes Lewis in 2021.....I don't know if I'd cut my 3rd round pick over him but it seems to be some other issues going on.
