We like our guys. And when we don't like our guys, it's better to stick with the devil we know best. So better the devil you know to this trade idea.

No doubt. I would trade him for anyone that has a contract that is cheaper to get away from. That's all he is at this point, a puzzle to figure out.... How to get rid of him the cheapest possible way.

Clelin Ferrell isn't very good, but of course I would. That contract is awful and the raiders wouldn't want it either.

They have a ton of cap next season. Ferrell was inactive week 1 and had minimal snaps weeks 2.

My thinking is, they will have Smith actually get snaps. As opposed to Ferrell doing nothing

I'd trade Jaylon for Di Nucci if he were a Giant but Giants wouldn't take the trade

No, that trade is dumb. Jaylon played a good game against the chargers and will be needed this season. Having Jaylon allows Parsons to move around. Trading away Jaylon it only takes 1 injury to LB to derail that position. Y'all trusting Leighton to stay heathy all year........ no

As far as DE I'm ok with the depth right now. Stop trying to trade away depth for bust that doesn't make the team better

Proposed Trade Has Raiders Swapping Key Defenders With Cowboys

GettyJaylon Smith of the Dallas Cowboys.

Don’t look now, but the Las Vegas Raiders are one of the hottest teams in the NFL. It’s no surprise that the offense is one of the best in the league. What is surprising is how well the defense is playing. Through two games, the group has five sacks and forced three turnovers. If the defense can continue to play like a top 20 unit in the NFL, the Raiders will be in the playoffs.

Head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock have shown a willingness to swing big on defense this offseason with the additions of Gerald McCoy, K.J. Wright and Denzel Perryman shortly before the season started. Now that it looks like the Raiders are for real, the team could take another swing.

Alex Kay of Bleacher Report believes the Raiders should call up the Dallas Cowboys and see if they’d have interest in swapping linebacker Jaylon Smith for defensive end Clelin Ferrell:

i would b/c we need DEs. I bet Cox can come in and play just as well as J. Smith
