Everybody knows this except for the people who are insanely jealous of Zeke's paycheck. If the guy signing the paychecks don't mind why the hell should I?

Not jealous but......I would never pay any RB big $$$$$, actually it's once that rookie contract is up I'm looking for another one, ah....the guy I have can take what I offer if he's wants to.

There are so many running backs out there, hell look at the Ravens, they had no problems bringing in quality guys once all their backs went down. TONS of running backs.

Pollard was more a receiver at Memphis, stick this guy in the slot and use him in a variety of ways, bottom line he has to be out there as does Zeke,
Its a luxury and Pollard is a versatile weapon, paired with Zeke gives this offense a next level dimension.
Pollard forces teams to spend extra time now in practice to prep for his threat,,, that alone is such a change of pace for this team, a very welcome change.

Too late to worry about the money,, just enjoy the ride at this point.

I'm never going to be a fan of just letting go of good players just cause they want to be paid their market value. I understand that the NFL is a business and business decisions have to be made and with the cap in place there will have to be trade offs.. But I am not a believer in these hard and fast "you never do X or Y" rules. If a guy is truly a great player you do what you have to to keep. Zeke as not a great player in 2020... If he returns to being a great player in 2021 I won't give a rip about his contract. I am more than happy to let others hand wring over that.

My only question is what took so long?

You only have so much you can spend, I want that $$$$$ building my o line, getting an edge rusher, my last concern is a running back, not that they aren't important it's there are just too many of them. Can get them cheap.

My only question is what took so long?

Could be he took time to learn the offense? Or could be all those games of under 3 ypc made the coaches question whether he could be a consistent weapon. The more games he shows that he can deliver consistent positive yards the more he's gonna get to play. But you gotta earn those opportunities.. They aint puttin you out there over a two time league rushing champ cause they THINK you can make plays.. You gotta show it so they can KNOW it.. Kudos to Pollard for making the most of his opportunities this week.. Keep it up!!!

He was picked near the bottom of the 4th round just in 2019, and barelyt 24 years of age... its Pollards coming out party, just starting.

I talk speed a lot, my first sport is track, yep, a sprinter/footballer here. Well ya can see what a difference speed makes with Pollard. he just explodes while Zeke can break tackles and get those tuff yards he doesn't have that ZOOM like Pollard has. You can't beat speed in football, the single most important thing actually.
