1. Even if Bob and Jerrah chatted, both guys are FA, and can sign anywhere
2. The Pats D looks awfully good against the GOAT and Bucs without him, and this is Bill's way to unload costly vets
3. As above, no chance Bill signs Jaylon and his contract
4. He will sign with the usual contenders: Bucs, Chiefs
5. Dude isn't healthy and quad injuries linger

Again what the heck do I know, lol

I don't see Dallas making the move to get Gillmore, the release of Jaylon gives cap relief after next season and I think there are some key players on this team who will become FA that Cowboys will now have the chance to resign.
don’t forget cap is going up 10-20milion in next year.

I’m guessing here but I expect him to sign a one year deal and work on re-establishing himself for more money in the next one. His stock is at an all-time low right now.
No. This won’t happen. He would have restructured with NE if this was the case. He’s getting a raise. He’s going to get paid. Whoever pays him, will land him. He didn’t just force his way out of Ne to lose money.

I dont think he will get top 5 market value at 31/32, but I dont see him signing for less than 16 million per. I dont see the Cowboys paying that for what will be a #2 CB, even if they had outs in 2023

I’ll be shocked if Gilmore ever sees numbers anywhere close to $16 million again.

Yes it is but don't forget Cowboys have some key FA of their own coming up. I don't think Cowboys will be in the mix at for Gilmore. I think we will see Joseph back with the team shortly.

He is looking for a long term deal, but is right now the best time for him to be seeking it? Would he get a better contract on the open market in season, or in the offseason

We’ll see when he signs I guess?

16 million isnt alot for CB's. Top CB's are over 20 million, and Gilmore had a strong year last year. 16 million is probably tier 2 CB's and thats probably what Gilmore will be looked at at 32 years old

16 was top money 3 years ago

Well he’s getting professional guidance from his agent. The fact that they were able to force him out of NE should tell you what the market holds

We should sign him if healthy. Still that idiot poster who wanted to give up Gallup and a 3rd round pick should be banned from posting for a week.:rolleyes:

This is why you don’t give up a draft pick in a trade for player who may be free later.

except that it insures you get him, rather than him having to choose you. like we did for quinn

He has to rebuild his reputation after it’s taken a hit.

It’s still a lot of money. Especially for a guy over 30 coming back from a significant injury. I don’t see it happening.

They could possibly restructure him where Dallas pays a portion and Patriots do as well.. ASSUMING Tampa doesn't pick him at full salary
