This is on Gruden.......he has no one to blame but himself. Not for what he said but being dumb enough to put it in emails, that's on him. Blaming Goodell is silly......

I blame that fat bill gates sweater wearing pasty pos for everything wrong with the league. He’s destroyed it. I will create a shrine to Paul Tagliabue in hopes of undoing some of the damage.

Hopefully, once EVERYONE has been canceled, maybe the world will realize we are all humans and are imperfect.

Not saying what Gruden did was just "being human", as it sounds like it is a lot more than just that. And yes, we all should TRY to do better.

I'm just saying that outside of being in a comma for your whole life, I don't believe there is an adult person alive that hasn't done something that could have been canceled for.

And believe me, I'm at the front of that line, no doubt. My only real saving grace is that the only "social media" I participate in is this Cowboy Fan site. I know how I can get, so I try to limit my damage. And even then, I make my mistakes on this forum as well.

I just hope that instead of throwing everyone into the fire, we attempt to look at context, intent and the actual situation before we all grab our pitchforks and torches.

I am grateful there were no cellphones with cameras, or email or facebook etc. when I was growing up!

Gruden knew he had no case in court if he was to be fired and tried to get his money. I wonder who his manager and pr team is.

And the brutal, horrific truth is that 75% of NFL fans agree with the Gruden emails.

It is a brutal sport led and followed by brutal men.

Gruden is lucky that his emails weren't leaked sooner and allowed him to stay in the career of football related things and the NFL for as long as he did. This is on him for believing he could send those types of emails and that everything would always be safe and okay. He was old enough to know better. As this can't be written off as a "youthful mistake."

For you young folks here who are just starting the career ladder and asking why these are public knowledge, a little workplace 101. Just know that if you get subpoenaed for anything in court, all your emails come out. Any lawyer can ask for any communication that your servers still contain. As others were suggesting, write anything you wouldn’t mind sharing with the world, otherwise keep it to a phone call. But even those are being recorded and stored on hard drives so much more with technology being what it is. Privacy, it was nice to know you.
