Belichick will take away half of Dallas's offense. Which one will it be?

Dude, you're calling the Patriots D elite and telling me I don't know what I'm talking about. You're probably the only person in the entire country that would call their D elite. It's like calling a house cat a lion. Yeah, I don't know what I'm talking about. Go get yourself another drink and don't let the lid hit you on the head.

To be fair, Pats D defense is top 5.

But we'll see how long that lasts after Sunday's game.

Panthers were the BEST defense before running into Dallas buzzsaw.

I agree to a point. But if Mac Jones happens to become an elite QB, Bill will win again. If he had Herbert, I'd be on the lookout. Just as an example.

Even Herbert couldn't help this pedestrian bunch of backs and receivers look good. By all accounts Jones is damn near a Brady clone. Smart, accurate, not athletic but athletic enough.. He just has no experience and the team around him is sub par. All the opt outs last year did the Pats a favor because it let them be bad enough to be picking in the teens. Using that pick to get what they believe to be a future franchise QB was smart. They may get to draft up there again this year and will probably use it to get a defensive playmaker. They signed a lot of high dollar free agents this offseason but only a couple are really working out which is generally how it works. The Pats may actually be a good team by the end of this season.. but they are not a good team now.

Agree completely. My only problem was in calling their D elite. They have a fairly good defense, no doubt.

Exactly.. this Cowboys offense has embarrassed a couple of used to be highly rated defenses. Barring bad weather I think they do the same to this one..

I agree completely. But even Brady didn't have great teams around him every year. Herbert wouldn't help him this year for sure.

It's pretty clear our TEs are feasting. Will Bill take them away? But at what cost? IMO they're feasting due to the attention our WRs are getting. But most of the times Bill encourages his opponent to run the ball. I wish he would do that with us.

Schultz is feasting but if you adjust your front seven to take Dalton away, that opens up the running game and the deep shots down the field to Cooper and Lamb.

Yeah, a circular argument. That's exactly what should happen.

like I said earlier. He will dare us 2 pass. They have the scheme and dline 2 make us 1 dimensional. Dak has to get rid of the ball fast in this 1. Screens is how u need 2 beat them. We need Zeke and Pollard in the passing game this week. Best test since week 2.

Doesn't Dak get rid of the ball at a top 5 rate this year based on seconds from snap to pass?

Yes it's what happens when your offense is good at everything.. There is literally nothing a defense can do to "take it away." The only real weakness on this offense is that Williams and Biadasz can get overpowered at times. Moore has discovered that he can negate that weakness by simply running behind Martin and Steele. Formation the tight ends to the left side, get the defense slanting that way, then come back with runs to the right. If the defense fails to adjust and move bodies over to where the tight ends are we will have them outnumbered at the point of attack and Dak will go ahead and run it there. When a QB reaches the level that Dak has reached mentally, the defense is always going to be wrong no matter which way they go.

And their D has benefited by playing some of the worst offenses in the league. Dolphins, Jets, Texans.

Particularly in the run game, I think most of the teams they’ve faced don’t run the ball well.

yeah but NE will blitz him early and often. Dak will need to be ready for that. I have a buddy that lives in the NE area and he said that they (the team) been talking about needing to get pressure on Dak early. We need to dial up rb screens to use their aggressiveness against them. Lots of draw plays and screens. Just this fans opinion.

We can hit them with some chunk plays early and set the tone. Have 2 be aggressive on offense. Can't let them hang around. BB will beat us if we let them. They have a stable of good running backs and I suspect they will get them involved early. We MUST stop the run.

Every game they throw up that graphic that shows that Dak is #1 or #2 in the league against the blitz.. I think he'll be ready. Dude is just too smart to get burned by that stuff at this point. Though I do expect Belichick to get him a couple of times early while Dak and Moore decipher what they're doing. Hopefully it just results in a throwaway or a sack and not a pick six or a fumble..

Their D is ok. Bill knows Brady. It didn't surprise me he held him in check. The Cowboys are an entirely different animal with entirely different attacks.

And there were two other big factors at play against Tampa as well. Rainy conditions and Brady not having Gronk.

Brady won a SB without Gronk. If Bill was such a genius the Texans wouldn't have given him so much trouble. I like Bill, I really do. But his success has a lot to do with what he knows. He knows Brady and acted accordingly. He almost got beat by the Texans. Good luck against the Cowboys.
