Hill’s days on the roster are dwindling. He’s a year + removed from surgery now and is he even practicing with the team yet? We’ve essentially heard nothing. Not to mention he’s, at best, the 3rd best player at his position on the roster now behind Osa and Gallimore. And that’s not bringing Watkins and Urban into the discussion…

Gholston doesn’t need to be active right now on a team trying to win a super bowl

Hill cannot practice until after game 6. He is on PUP. He can practice now.

Golston earned playing time. He is getting better every week. Who would want to stop progress like that?

3 sacks, 5 TFLs while playing about 50% of the Texans defensive snaps. I would sign him just to keep him away from our competitors. Easy move for him 3 hours up I-45. Please Jerry, go for the kill.

Man, must be getting old. Was a big fan of his when he was coming out of Illinois.

I like this guy
Me too,....remember him well at Illinois. Not a TRUE killer,..more like an accomplice. But you need them too. He is someone that can thrive if he has a couple others around him that can get after the passer.

Someone who wants to win a super bowl. Golston will be lucky if he is ever as much of a factor as a pass rusher as Mercilus is now. He’s a younger Dorance Armstrong. Which don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about getting a functional rotation player in the mid rounds…but he just has about 0 impact traits. Mercilus can still make an impact as a pass rusher 20 or so snaps a game

If ur gonna make a move its during the bye week so he can make adjustments. Call the Falcons grab Grady Jarrett and sign up Mercilus and move forward on the practices

And why exactly are the Texans cutting this immense talent? Does he have a salary guarantee for 2022 like Jaylon?

@Zordon So, who are you cutting for him?

Got to make room for Hill, Gallimore, and Armstrong soon. Too many numbers at the DL right now to think about adding any player on the DL.
I’d cut Armstrong in a second for Mercilus.

I'd keep Hill on IR. There's a lot of players I'd cut for him - Anae, Kamara, Hamilton, Sprinkle, the new fullback. I'm all in on this year, there's no guarantee we continue on this trajectory in the upcoming seasons.
Right. Like every single player on the roster is uncuttable. There’s probably a dozen players you can cut for extra pass rush help.
