by the other team also coming off a bye? Is that common? Vikings are off this week as well, seems fishy.

Do we play any teams coming off of a bye week this year? I have not looked to see. Never thought about it.

Our bye week advantage is amplified this year given our QB is hurt.

So schedule aside. Having the bye this week and giving our QB more time to heal is a massive advantage.

Hopefully we'll never match that year when we played like 7 teams coming off their bye week.. Goodell tries to be sneaky in how he screws us but it never fails that he does exactly that. This year we start on the road for two games then he throws the okie doke and lets us have three in a row at home.. All to mask the royal screwing we get as we now face two straight on the road and then the tour de force.. Two at home followed by 4 out of 5 on the road sandwiched around a single home game on Thanksgiving. A night game at Nawlins.. then 3 of the last 5 on the road in cold weather cities.. DC, NY and Philly. No one will ever convince me these are accidents.

I agree, we always had these schedule anomalies against us. A few years back though it was laid out decently not as bad as usual. It then back to the same crap.

Lol we have an injured QB that gets an extra week to heal. As well as a WR/CB/DL and you say its negated because we are playing a team that is also coming off bye? Nah fam... the bye week is for resting players and getting guys back from injury. Not really for gameplanning for the next opponent. If anything we are probably game planning for both the Vikings and Broncos

What really p's me off is how hard they have worked to take away the advantage of playing on Thanksgiving from us. We play 4 games in like 19 days and everybody acts like it's nothing. It's pure horse bleep. And we used to play the game right before Thanksgiving at home and they've taken that from us as well. Not only do we get the pleasure of playing on short rest but we have to travel after the Sunday game.. At least it's just KC this year which is only an hour or so flight but damn.. I'll never forget 2014 when we played at the Giants in a game that ran past midnight if I recall correctly and came out completely dead against the Eagles on Thanksgiving. I said then that if I were Jerry I would have picked up the phone and told Goodell if he ever pulled that crap again the Cowboys would never play on Thanksgiving again..

our bye week works in our favor it gives dak an extra week of rest and it works La'el Collins back into the set and it gives them time to figure out the Oline and if Williams needs to be put elsewhere

I noticed that too. They already negated the Thanksgiving advantage by making the Cowboys play the following Thursday. I lost count but I think it has been that way now for four years. I realize they get ten days off after that game but i don't think that carries the same momentum as a game after Yhanksgiving.

Report to Mike Fisher. Otherwise we are gaining some players for once mid-season, and IMO this team will just keep getting better.

Im more worried about the off week, hopefully none of the players catch anything and comeback positive and screws us over....I'm praying nothing happens...

I've noticed that recently....did this not happen last year as well? But coming off the bye week use to be an advantage. Sucks we don't get that this year.

Somebody pointed out to Goodell that we had that advantage.. so he closed that loophole. He needs to make sure to screw us every chance he gets.

Fishy? Everything's a conspiracy around here. :muttley:

The Vikings bye week advantage is negated as well.
