Worse decision: Splitting with Jimmy or giving the keys to Garrett for a decade?

I'd argue the latter. Handicapping a generation of talented players with this level of coaching is easily Jerry's worst decision.

The reason I disagree - Jimmy wanted out too and the salary cap was going to hinder our ability to maintain those teams.

Jimmy wanted out because he was tired of working with a lunatic owner. Jerry created that situation and it will always be his biggest mistake.

As for the salary cap, tell me what players Jimmy bought to win those titles? The way to beat the cap is to draft well. He was the best at it at the time.

He runs the closest thing to a pure Coryell in the modern NFL. If you don’t have the horses, it’s not going to be pretty.

i knew he was a charlatan from Day 1,moron had no credentials and was already appointed as a HC in waiting by Jerry.his biggest mistake in his life and he will never acknowledge it.

Some of us saw that. Others saw the next Tom Landry.

Some even convinced themselves that X’s and O’s mean nothing and we just need better players as if coaching and game plans didn’t matter and allowing the other team to basically know our every move was ok.
