Not only is Collins better at RT he demanded to be moved to tackle. He didn't stay here to play LG so like it or not he ain't moving to guard. But we all know the weakness along the line is the center. Fix center and you'll see less issues from the LG spot. Williams and Tyron need to work on their holding but overall they are fine if we get a real center.

No one forced Collins to use drugs. No one forced Collins to bribe a tester. Collins chose drugs over the team and football. You don’t reward behavior like that.
He was tested to the point where you could argue it was harassment and didn’t fail any tests. It was reported that he didn’t show up for 7 drug tests - so then he was suspended. I guess he appealed and then his suspension was reduced to 2 games and I guess he appealed that. Then magically a test collector or someone came forward and said they were bribed, which is a felony.

From google:
Bribery is a second-degree felony, which is punishable by: Up to 20 years in prison; and. A possible fine of up to $10,000.

So where’s the bribery charges?

Did Collins do ‘his job’ these past 5 weeks? Well? And why not? This should be good, real good.

What exactly was Collins doing these past 5 weeks? Collins turned on the team and the fans and you are rolling out the red carpet for his triumphant return.
if it’s about putting your best linemen out there…it sure as hell ain’t Steele over Collins.

And you know this how? From one game five weeks ago? What is the difference in Steele and Collins right now? From 0-100, what is Steele and what is Collins?

Well for starters based on how the team is blocking they don't seem to trust Steele as much as they do Collins. Collins wouldn't need as much help from tight ends and guards then Steele does. Make no mistake the reason why Steele is playing well is because of coaching. They are protecting him like the Cowboys should've did with Chaz Green against Atlanta.

They are not running 12 personnel to help Steele. They are running the 12 personnel because it is very effective. They can both run or pass well with this grouping.

I’m seeing Steele one on one a lot.

You’re telling me with the talent that we have you’d rather run 12 personnel instead of 11 personnel? So you’d rather have Jarwin on the field over Gallup or Cedric Wilson? There’s a massive talent gap between those 2 WRs and Blake Jarwin my friend. This team is unstoppable in Trips or doubles.

In case you missed it, the running game is doing quite well. And I heard it has a lot to do with the 12 personnel. The 12 is hard for teams to match up with because they don’t know if it is a run or pass. Jarwin and Schultz can block and catch.

Bring a safety up for run support and it leaves a CB on an island. Bring a safety up for run support and the TE can take him out on a run. Either TE can release also. Schultz and Jarwin are wide open sometimes.

Keep the safeties deeper and the run opens up.

I thought his best year was at Tackle.

He was never that impressive at guard and we were always better with Ron Leary in the lineup at guard imo.

Im just not impressed with Connor Williams. I know he gets the job done but that guy is so finesse and gets bullied at times.
Leary was a beast, wish we could have kept him.

I don't know. I don't know how much they are running 12 personnel now. If the 12 package is still wildly successful, I would imagine the Cowboys sticking with it. Gallup would then sub with Lamb and Cooper on the outside.

My guess would be 50% 12 personnel and 50% 11. In Dec and Jan running the ball becomes even more important.

Yeah you could be right. I just feel this team sees Collins as a superior player. Not only that but he’s expensive. I’d love to put Collins at guard but I also know that’s not realistic.

Jerry spoke about it this morning. Said the norm was for players to get their starting positions back. But it sounded like he was really torn about doing that. I think Jerry knows it is the wrong decision. Really sends all the wrong messages to the players.

I have a feeling the decision will be McCarthy and Philbin. I believe McCarthy might go to Martin and Tyron for input since they are team leaders on the OL.

It’s extremely rare that we’re in 12 personnel and I don’t care what anyone says La’el >>>>> Steele
