Rams have Coop and Woods as their starting receivers. doubt OBJ becomes the third wheel/not the guy for LA.

Same goes for the Bucs. Brown, Godwin, Evans.

Could see the Packers but even then Im not too worried about him anymore.

If you watch the film Baker is terrible. He's missed OBJ over and over again. He could become relevant real quick.

Are the Bucs rumored to be interested?

His whole beef in Cleveland is over his lack of targets. Why would he be OK going to an offense and being fourth or fifth fiddle?

The Packers make sense from a personnel standpoint, but I also don’t see OBJ’s and Rodgers’ personalities meshing at all.

First with the Broncos sending Von Miller to the Rams. Now today it sounds like OBJ will be released and sign with the Packers or Bucs “superteam”. I also wouldn’t count out OBJ signing with the Rams as well. NFC is ridiculous this year.
I don’t think either one is going to make an impact

I don't see how he helps the Bucs at all. They already are stocked with receiving talent. OBJ is not going to come in and suddenly take targets away from the guys Brady prefers to throw to. Aint happening...
Same with the Rams, to a lesser extent. They already have their guys and it works...

He would on the other hand help GB IMO. He could slide into the #2-#3 WR role behind Adams.

Whoever we play to get to to the SB will be harder than whoever our SB opponent is which I just assume Buffalo

As of right now there isn't a team in the AFC that I would consider dominant. But I agree, Buffalo. One other possible team. The team in the same division that is quietly at 4-4.

From last year:
https://www.espn.com/blog/cleveland...r-off-without-obj-but-baker-mayfield-might-be
According to ESPN Stats & Information, Mayfield’s numbers have actually been slightly better over the last two seasons when Beckham has been on the sidelines.

With Beckham on the field, Mayfield has completed just 59.9% of his throws and averaged just 7.2 yards per attempt. With Beckham off the field, Mayfield has connected on 70.4% of his passes and averaged 7.7 yards per throw.

Even when Beckham had been on the field, Mayfield was consistently more efficient targeting other receivers. Mayfield’s completion percentage targeting other receivers this season is 78.6%, with an off-target rate of just 10.7% and QBR of 96.2, according to ESPN Stats & Info. But targeting Beckham, Mayfield’s off-target percentage rose to 28.2% while his QBR dropped to 73.7. Mayfield’s completion rate to Beckham, meanwhile, was just 59.9%.

In fact, over the last two seasons, Mayfield and Beckham have the worst completion success rate (55.6%) of any duo in the NFL (with at least 100 attempts).

This year:

It would make sense that without one of his top receivers, Mayfield would play a bit more conservatively.

And to an extent, he does. Based on the data, he attempts a deep pass only 18.8 percent of the time without Beckham on the field. A slight change, but a change nonetheless.

What's most notable is perhaps his completion percentage and the dearth of interceptions. Mayfield completes 50.8 percent of his deep ball passes and has just one interception when he attempts those deep throws without Beckham on the field. He also has three touchdowns on those deep balls. Based on the rates, just 1.6 percent of Mayfield's deep throws are picked off without Beckham on the field while 7.3 percent of his deep throws with Beckham out there are intercepted.

Data from ProFootballFocus would also suggest that Mayfield is a better passer when Beckham is not out there. Based on their data, his big-time throw percent was a career-high in 2018, before Beckham arrived, at 7.7 percent. His second-best season was 2020, when Beckham was out for half the year with a torn ACL, as Mayfield had a 6.1 percent rate. His lowest came in Beckham's only full year with the team, 2019, when he had a rate of 5 percent.

The turnover-worthy throws also go up when Beckham is on the field. Per ProFootballFocus' data, Mayfield's lowest turnover-worthy play rate has come this season at 2.8 percent, with his second-lowest being in 2020 at 3 percent. His rookie season had just a 3.1 percent rate. His worst came, again, in Beckham's only full year with the team, when 3.7 percent of Mayfield's plays were turnover worthy.

I don't watch the Browns often, but stats do show Mayfield is better with all his receivers outside of OBJ and throws less picks when he isn't on the field/being targeted. Is it just some communication issue or is OBJ no longer that good?

When a team trades a player they would prefer to send him to the other conference, so nothing new there. As for OBJ, he will be released and will sign with the Raiders. As you probably know, they cut Ruggs and now have a need for a WR. This may be a move they may regret with OBJ, but who cares.

OBJ could very well be an Amari Cooper situation where he just doesn't mesh with the QB. Amari was considered to have 'fallen off' which is why the Raiders gave him to us for a 1st rounder.
