One of the few disappointments with the draft class was the injury to Josh Ball.
- It is highly likely that without the DV, if Ball had stayed at Florida State, he would have been a 1st round pick.

Steele played RT in college and is much better at RT than LT.

La'el played LT in college, but never appeared to have LT type athleticism.

Josh Ball's body type and style remind me of multi-time All Pro Joe Thomas.
- Both about 6-7 but with thick lower bodies more like an OG.
- Ball appears to have studied Joe Thomas.
- JT was known to have an unorthodox pass blocking style referred to as a shot put style.
- Ball and Joe Thomas both play with a nasty, punch you in the mouth style.
- Obviously, Josh Ball will have to stay out of trouble or all the athletic ability in the world won't matter.

He probably would have been a 2nd rounder if not for DV. If he doesnt get hurt, he probably starts the last 5 games at RT instead of Steele

I agree on one thing would have left steele at rt pout LC at LT..just to not change more then one position and to see how well LC would adjust..I say LC is the short term LT candidate and as fake coach GM that where i would have put him and we discussed this before the game

would it have changed the outcome. Most likely not..

lastly i believe TS should have went and scheduled surgery right away and take 4 -6 weeks to get back and be ready for the playoffs. Put him in the last few games for rust breaking and timing but

These mid round injured redshirts never pan out and I mean never. Worst thing is to miss your rookie season with an injury. You could flush the pick down the toilet with the rest of them.

Is Ball done for the year, or is there a possibility he can get some snaps this season?

All I have heard about Ball was that he had an ankle injury in camp. The Cowboys waited until after the cut to 53 to place him on injured reserve, so that makes him eligible to return.

What's weird is all the mystery surrounding the injury. I have heard nothing about him since camp.

Would have been better to kick CW to tackle, put LC at guard and keep Steel where he was able to play his best. Collins wasn't athletic enough for RT much less attempt to play LT yesterday. At least I think it would have been our best bet to give Dak a cleaner pocket and a little more push up the middle for runs. I hope these coaches figure something out soon.

we are lucky Steele has played so well at RT.

We needed help in the draft. Our 2nd round pick should have been on a T.

It’s obvious a need at this point as good as Smith it makes no difference when he’s always hurt and our offense always goes down the toilet without him.

La’el looked fat and slow more like a guard than tackle I don’t think he’d do well at LT.

we need to draft his replacement and if we can’t get out of his contract move him back to RT for the remainder of his career where his absence won’t be felt as hard

Collins gonna get cut this off-season.

no way they pay him 30 million over 2022-24.

Steele is making 900k.

they also have to decide on our LG, who is UFA soon.

I find it disturbing that Josh Ball plays with a punch you in the mouth style…..

I'm hesitate to state the future of OT Josh Ball, until
- he stays healthy ..
- proves he can stay out of trouble (ala domestic issues) .
- .and see how he plays off a full offseason strength/condition
-, full camps and preseason.
- Does us no good to have a guy that looks like Tarzan .. but ends up playing like Jane.
