The Cowboys have had their best safety play in over a decade.
The bar was low.

Hooker and Kazee have one pick and both of their snaps have dwindled.

We have Wilson next year. Everybody else was a one year rental.

the only reason people care is because of how their pay impacts the team's salary cap, which has a huge impact on a team's success. So I think its a legit question.

I respect your right to think you deserve to opine on a player’s salary.

Reality: What a team decides to pay a player is between the team and the player/agent. Fans can agree/disagree with their perception of a player’s value, but it’s really none of their business. The only reason anyone knows (or thinks they know) what a player makes is because there’s a cap and the info has to be made public per league rules. I’d be willing to make a large wager that no team ever consulted their fan base before agreeing to terms with a player. They don’t care what we think, the players don’t care what we think re: their comp, so again….none of our business unless you’re applying for a job to manage the cap for a team.

Speaking for myself, I don't care if Joseph gets paid or not. What happened to him wasn't his fault and his absence is excused.

It's no different than a player missing a game due to injury or protocols like Cooper this week. Players should only lose pay if they miss games or practice without a legitimate reason.

Just my opinion.

I agree with you 100%, and along those lines of thinking, teams dont give one damn about who we think they should draft, what rd, what position, who should be starting, how much they should pass, run, what kind of plays, when they should go for it on 4th, when they should onside kick and on and on and on. So... that pretty much means if we take that approach, we could pretty much shut this board down, because damn near every thread on here is full of us dumb fans and our meaningless views and opinions.

I think most of us understand what we think means zip.

Cooper does not get paid for these games he misses. That was all announced prior to the season starting.

This is an ugly take IMO, the savings on a 200 mil team cap space? One check bc he missed a game on a family members death?

Who cares, praying for him and his family.
im not sure everyone was aware of the reason he was missing. If they were aware and still bashing him, they are a loser. Family always takes priority over ANY job.

Was it because of a family members death?
Or is that speculation?
Serious question.
Thanks in advance

I think they should double the salary of anyone who can get a headline for missing a day of work.

I think this thread should of been “ Is an NFL player payed for an excused absence?” and just for general knowledge only. I.e. does it impact the salary cap….

Did he want the game off also or did McCarthy bench him because he missed a practice? That was I was thinking was the reason he won't be playing Sunday
rookie CB Kelvin Joseph has been excused from the game
Death in his family

If you are excused by the team for a death in your family you will get paid

Even if they weren’t aware; they actually think there’s cap savings in one of Kelvins game checks? The thread wasn’t speculation to help the team, it was speculation to punish Kelvin for using personal time

If people weren’t aware they should’ve shut up about it altogether….it was speculated from jump it could’ve potentially been a death. But they didn’t care….
