It wasn't all because of Romo, there's no way to even prove that. Two completely different environments.

Yeah Robinson was a good #3 receiver who benefitted from having Dez and Miles drawing attention away from him. If you wanna credit Romo for getting him paid then you better give Dez, Witt and Austin some credit too.

Didn't his opportunities come up because Miles and Dez had injuries?

Edit: Miles played just 10 games that year.

Robinson started 4 games.. So he apparently replaced Miles in those.. Miles missed games 3 and 4 and then 9-12. Robinson was already the #3 receiver so he was on the field most of the time anyway.. He just got a lot more targets with Miles out.. but his production took a big hit in those games.. 47 targets in those 6 games with 28 completions and 5 TD. In the other games as the true #3 he had 33 targets and 26 catches and 6 TD. He was far more productive as the #3 receiver than he was as the #2. That catch % drop was huge.. I'm surprised JAX saw those numbers and still gave him that contract.. What games were they watching?

He was 2nd most efficient on the team as far as catches to targets- 54/80. Witten only beat him because of the 4th decimal point- 79/117. Dez was 63/103 and Miles 43/73.

Robinson's 28/43 is actually better than Miles and not far behind Dez.

Where are you getting these numbers? He was targeted 80 times and caught 54.. a 67.5% catch rate.. However in starts he 28/47 which is 59.6% as opposed to 26/33 (78.8%) as the #3... meaning against the other teams' #3 corner he was able to eat.. Against #1s and #2s..not so much.

My bad. I wrote 43 instead of 47. But I used the right numbers for the math. Compare his 28/47 to Miles and it's actually better. Dez was just above 60%. I'll grant Dez likely faced consistently better coverage.

Yeah as long as Dez was on the field nobody was looking at Robinson.. I was happy for him that he got paid.. but I thought JAX was stupid for doing it even back then. He was a quality #2 or #3.. but he got Alvin Harpered.. I just hope he spent his money wisely. 2011 was the limp around on bad hammies year for Miles.. I think he pulled the both in that 49er game that went to OT. Was never the same after that.. Too bad because he and Dez could have wrecked the league together..

Romo had HOF talent around him. Do they get credit for his statistics?
I'm not saying Romo doesn't make other players better, but that's common. All good players and good teams make each other better. You simply cannot be consistently productive with bad players. This all a lame attempt to pile on Prescott. The team is 7-4 and fans are acting like spoiled brats.
