If Steele comes back it would be a good test vs WFT’s defensive front. If Collins struggles after 1st qtr then make the switch to Williams and don’t ever look back.

Interesting regarding Martin. I’m not smart enough to know how accurate PFF grades are and, therefore, don’t buy them hook, line and sinker. And that goes for any media “experts”.

He never should have been taken out of there. From what I have seen from McGovern, a move like that can only come from the Owner's booth.

Remember that McGovern is playing catch up. Conner had all the training camp reps and the first 10 games or so. But, he was a penalty catcher. McGovern's only penalty was on a dubious "down field" flag. If the two are similar talent wise+strength, then I'm taking the guy who gets less flags.

As of now Williams is more talented and has the experience that trumps all in the playoffs.

Williams is in his 4th year and all the strength training that goes with it. McGovern is only in his 2nd. Williams was repeatedly blown back into Daks lap and while McGovern isn't blowing defenders off the ball at least he isn't getting blown back either and again.... less penalty flags.

Before this season comes to a conclusion, the Cowboys' OL coach will have to decide what combination of OL players best serve the team. From the looks of things, perhaps he'll manage to work things out in that respect. In the meantime, this team will likely continue to struggle.

Could it likely help if Josh Ball is afforded the opportunity to make the plunge into a starting role? He'll need to be afforded a chance at some point, if the OL is likely to get their woes resolved. It might be interesting to see if that possibility even fits into the staff's plans!

In the meantime, it seems a change may be in the offing. We might have to be patient for a while before a decision is forthcoming. Let's hope it doesn't take too long for something workable is to be decided upon. Time is of the essence, no doubt.

They were drafted in back to back drafts (2018 and 2019). I know that McGovern missed his rookie year with an injury but as far as the league is concerned he's in his 3rd season.

I like that too.

Not sure they will make the Collins to LG move though. Tough to say. Those five haven't been available together for many games. One maybe?

Connor Williams is a average player who gets a ton of penalties. I believe he lead the league.

I’m not a fan of so much movement on the line. That’s an important consideration here.
