As you look at the scores does not the whole line concern you? It’s PFF but the whole line is struggling
Keep moving pieces around every week and that is what happens. Put Steele back next to Martin and figure it out. I hated the disruption that happened with the moves. These big guys need to work together and sense what the other is going to do on every play. Everyone keeps calling for the five best athletes on the line, but sometimes that is not the best solution.

Chemistry is very important, especially with the plays the Cowboys run. Hope we correct quickly.

Screw the penalties and put him back in. Tell him to keep his hands in the proper position and stop doing dumb **** that is unnecessary unless it is needed to keep Dak from taking a huge hit.

I've been calling for McGovern to start for two years, and I think he is better than Williams....but now Biadasz seems to be having issues as well.

The answer may very well be just go back to what worked best...

Smith...Williams...Biadasz....Martin...Steele.

Our best five? Nope....but just maybe our best unit.
Yes.

Good points but this OL has been average all year for a variety of reasons

LT Smith
LG Collins
C Biadisz
RG Martin
RT Steele

That is our best 5 OL. I would try that lineup before putting Williams back at LG.

Going to pull Lael after he was the BEST OL by far vs Saints?

Makes no sense.

Steele is no where near as good as Lael in run game.

We need Philbin back.
Been crap since he has been missing.

Philbin only missed 2 games, and maybe part of problem.

The OL shuffle has been disastrous for Cowboys in last 5 games.

Steele to LT and McGovern to LG were horrible decisions.

Continuity and chemistry are critical to a successful OL.

He never should have been taken out of there. From what I have seen from McGovern, a move like that can only come from the Owner's booth.
Jerry listens to the majority of dumb fans. Jerry makes moves to please the fans since fans are what keep the $$$$ coming in.

McG graded out at around 35.5. Steele may not be as good as La’el at RT— but he is much better than THAT.

Besides— heading into WFT— we need more beef inside to deal with their DTs. Putting La’el at LG gives us our best shot to shut down their inside pressure.

Wow.. the best run defense in football, that leads the league in yards per carry and third in overall yards, man-handled our running game and Dak looked like a scrub when neither Zeke nor Pollard could net over 5 YPC…

If Steele comes back it would be a good test vs WFT’s defensive front. If Collins struggles after 1st qtr then make the switch to Williams and don’t ever look back.
I'm still thinking that Collins is the very best right tackle that Dallas possesses at present. With Martin at right guard, a clean performing pair at center and left guard is at question. There is enough talent and experience now, that these two postions should develop up and not be a problem. Pride now becomes the issue!

The next ten days will present a challenge for our returning OL coach and his players to improve their play upon their return. It seems certain that they'll be tested to make some necessary adjustments to improve. Hopefully, they'll find the appropriate combinations there to succeed in the playoff run that's sure to come in the weeks ahead. Here's hoping that their talent might progress enough in the days ahead to return as an effective OL.

I'd love to see the 'heavy' set dominate from this point forward. Force running the ball to be heavily defensed and play action opposing defenses deep coverages out of business...

Joe Philbin is sure to return with intentions to improve his OL, however, they best seem to work together. La'el Collins has been a highly capable RT in the past, although, how much his conditioning has regressed may impact his return to success in the future. Philbin is well experienced in determining what works and doesn't. Hopefully, he'll see something in this 10-day break to find a combination that works. ;)

Penalties involve pride and focus, but player abilities/strength have been shown. He will motivate the players who should be playing the starting positions. For me, that has Collins at right tackle and the outsides set.
