I thought they weren't gonna extend him?

He has done less with Lawrence around than he did before that. I don't understand that.

Some team is gonna offer him big $$. I said in another thread, six of our defensive starters are FAs next year and none of those six are getting paid much. We could possibly lose all of them.

He’s also been beyond dominant at very important moments in games. But sure, let’s find the negative and harp on that

There is a big problem with fans looking at stats and forming their entire opinion based on whatever number the box score tells them.

No matter how good or bad someone is the numbers is all that matter.

Gregory has been incredible this year and an absolute game wrecker at times.

Is anyone else worried that we are gonna sink a lot of cap dollars into a 30 year old DE that can only muster 11 tackled in a make or break contract year?

I am concerned whenever Jerry pays a player more money than he is worth. So how much is too much for Gregory? I would be okay paying him $14 million a year, maybe a bit more, but I would not pay him $20 million. Then again I wouldn't have paid Zeke $15 million or Lawrence $21 million, or Dak$40 million. Shave a few bucks off those contracts and maybe they could afford to pay Gregory.

But I think this problem is going to be out of the Cowboys hands. I think they are going to be CAP strapped in 2022 and anyone getting an offer for more than $10 million will be too rich for Dallas. I am expecting to see a large number of Cowboys players to be signed by other teams. That's why 2021 is so important. It is their last chance for a few years.
