Yeah if fans weren’t happy with Lawrence’s contract; at least Demarcus has been a double digit sack guy at one point…

Is anyone else worried that we are gonna sink a lot of cap dollars into a 30 year old DE that can only muster 11 tackled in a make or break contract year?
You conveniently left out his sacks for this season and the fact he won three games for us (Carolina, Patriots, WFT) with big play sacks. I agree the Cowboys should not break the bank on him. I could see him getting a contract like the Bears gave Quinn because of the Cowboys tax. I don’t think we can match that or will.

That started when Jimmy Johnson didn't have many of BIG talented DL, so he started a rotation trying to wear down the Offensive lines with strength and quickness. Now most teams rotate the DL because of the success the Cowboys had in the early 90's.
If Jimmy would have had the DL talent that Landry had, he probably wouldn't have rotated them. Haley darn sure didn't rotate, but 270-300lb guys without the talent of Haley, and going against 330lb guys get worn down instead of the other way.

You clearly didn't watch the Hurricanes under Jimmy.

You obviously just pulling out these sloppy conclusions out of your ace.

Jimmy's DL rotations were not just some happenstance he lucked into.

I am on board with signing Randy at 10 million per year as a situational pass rushing specialist. If we pay him 15 million per year or heaven forbid 20 million per year like he is a dominant 3 down game wrecker I will be pretty sad. D Law yesterday is a good example of what a true 3 down game wrecker looks like. Gregory is no where close to that IMHO.

Who cares who YOU are on board with or what YOU are on board for.

What you think matters not a whit.

On the contrary I hope he crushes it for the rest of the year. I hope him and D Law and Kearse carry this team all the way to the superbowl. We have an amazing mix of hungry young players and hungry veterans playing for their next contract. This is a real lightning in a bottle situation on the defense and I hope the offense can come around in time to take advantage. What I do not want to have happen is another early playoff exit and have the team thinking we can not survive without Gregory and Lawrence so we give them all the money and we lock ourselves into a bad situation with no way out.

I tried to compare Gregory to Quinn and said I would not give Gregory the contract that Quinn got. I was ridiculed. People said that Gregory is far superior to Quinn. I guess maybe I just don't get it. I guess I am supposed to put my love for the player ahead of my love for the team. It would make sense given that is how Jerry operates. Perhaps his style of leadership has spread all the way down to the fans.

I thought maybe the guy knew you personally by the way he seemed to know your feelings about Randy. There seems to be a lot of that going on here anymore.

On Gregory, I do not agree with you on him. I believe his tackle numbers could be a little higher, but he is good against the run and can get to the QB. And I like the way he speaks, comes off to me as a good man. But no insults from me about it, your opinion is yours and shouldn't be talked-down so to because of it.

I guess we will find out soon enough what Jerry decides to do.

While Gregory has been good this season when on the field, Andrew Thomas made him completely disappear yesterday. Thomas has improved immensely, and is probably one of the two real bright spots on the Giants this year (Aziz Ojulari being the other).

Dak can shave some off of his , Zeke can shave a little off of his. We aren't paying Jaylon point is cap space is and will be available.

Maybe he would have more tackles if he didn't miss multiple games this season.

Garbage takes are what they are. All you can learn from this is seeing who likes the OP. Speaks to credibility.

Lot of cap dollars? How much does a guy with his background really get paid? I think the answer is a bridge deal.

I wonder how many of those league leading interceptions were partially
caused by Randy Gregory forcing the QB to throw early or off target.

Not sure what kind of money he'll get, but we should at least be interested.
Damn, all the time and effort toward getting his life right should warrant something
in favor of a home discount. (I know, there's no such thing)

Randy Gregory has FRANCHISE TAG written all over him. Another Anthony Spencer coming your way!
