Of course this is since 1982.
Remember how they call him The Freak? He was amazing.Such an interesting trajectory for Jevon Kearse. Started out on a phenomenal pace, most of all as a rookie, but tailed off the longer he played.

Reggie White is the only one on that list that had a solid lengthy career. Freeney had some better seasons after his rookie year, but not as long as Reggie White.
The Freak like you said never captured his rookie magic, but didn't nose dive like Aldon. Just puts it into perspective for me, Enjoy #11 today. Never know what the future brings.
Kids say the darndest things.
Dwight Freeney had a great career.
Where did I say he didn't have a great career? I just said not as long as Reggie White's dominance.
Of course this is since 1982.
It should be first year in professional football. Reggie wasn't a rookie when he recorded 13 sacks. What defines rookie? First year in professional football or first year in the NFL. I don't recall Herschel Walker ever being referred to as a rookie his first year in Dallas because he had already played in the USFL. Reggie White took that same path. I definitely can see White classified as a rookie. I just never saw other USFL players with experience called rookies once they joined the NFL.
As the youngins reading this confused and asking, what is the “USFL”….LOLWhat defines rookie? First year in professional football or first year in the NFL. Damn. I’d like for Parsons to break the record in 16 games. He needs 2 vs Arizona
